just back from the regente and the hotel is very clean and staff
friendly. there is no entertainment during the day, even though is says
there is on Thomson Holidays
website, and in the evening the compare was just
lifeless.
food ok but very repetative. walls are very thin and some guests had no respect for other guests when coming in late at night. pool very good and clean but you have to get up very early as sunbeds are taken (even though half were reserved with towels, and no one turned up to use them all day long which is frustrating if you want to stay round the pool). view not very good, looking into apartments very close by. weve been to benidorm before and it is very lively which is why we went back. aqualandia is great but get there when it opens as it gets very busy. horse riding was good. beach is very clean but there are great big rocks in the water so beware.
all in all we had a good time.

Stayed 14 nights at Regente. Hotel clean and staff helpful but meals very basic and repeated every 3/4 days so by end of holiday we were eating out, also found food to be cold on several occasions. Rooms cleaned daily but maids start early and very noisy.
No daytime entertainment which was disappointing and no lifeguard. We didn't see an entertainment team at all just 1 lad on his own. Evening entertainment not great with guests not being encouraged to join in or dance etc. Benidorm not really child friendly in the new town and streets very dirty with litter, dogs mess etc. Also found beach dirty on occassions. Its worth visiting the bars in the triangle as very child friendly but they do repeat their acts every 2/3 days so found we had seen them all in first week. Union Jack good for food and bakery at bottom of hotel steps well worth a visit.
We would not return to Benidorm again and feel Regente is more a 2 star not 3.

We returned today having spent the last 2 weeks there. We booked the
holiday 2 days before we travelled and all we knew was that we were
gauranteed a 3 star hotel minimum. When we arrived we found the hotel
was officially a 2 star, but Thomson Holidays
s classify it has a 3 T !!!!
At no time were we told there is a Gastric Flu outbreak at the hotel.
We all went down with it during our stay, and although it only lasts
around a day you are left unable to eat or drink for about a week. When
we reported it to the Thomson Holidays
s Rep she told us there had been only 3
cases reported that week,however i later found out that between Monday
6th and Thursday 9th , there had actually been THIRTY THREE cases
reported to the Thomson Holidays
s Rep ( this was actually confirmed to me by the
hotel manager, who also stated there had been problems at the hotel for
a YEAR, but they cannot find out what is causing it ). Between Thursday
and Sunday 12th we also heard of at least another 20 people who had
contracted the illness.
Other than that Benidorm is a fabulous resort, just dont stay at the REGENTE.

Just back from 2 weeks holiday in the Regente. This is the 2nd time we have been to this hotel. 1st time was excellent but this time was a bit disappointing.
Hotel has went down hill since a change of manager. Food was disgusting. If u like chips/hambugers and pizza u will be fine. Kids club was good. Room was clean and most of the staff were nice. We missed the other manager and Victor who did the entertainment. We came down with a bug a few days into the holiday Rob wasnt well for nearly a week feeling sick all the time and I wasnt well for 2 days. Quite a few people in the hotel had the same bug.
We love the location of this hotel and go to Rachels bar quite a lot and the new bar next to it. Peat Loaf is worth going to see. White horse is excellent for families and the entertainment is brilliant. Pizza Jardine is worth a visit for the meal and Tony Romas. Western night was excellent we booked up outside the hotel in the travel agents Roundtown. Terra Natura was rubbish. TOtal waste of money the animals looked distressed andthe place was really smelly. Terra Mitica is well worth the money and is a great day out.
We wont be going back to the Regente and have booked for Flamingo Oasis next year.

We enjoyed our hol, but found benidorm more suitable for adults,
the pubs had mostly an adult theme about them so our kids were bored most of the time we went out at nights(which was not much)had it just been myself and partner we could have had better time, but thats the price you pay when you got as many as us,so dont think i'd go back with kids. Ive read alot of reviews on here about the regente and we were a bit apprehensive but when we got there they dissapeared,
this hotel is ok,. Its clean, the food ok as well plenty of choice, folk have to remember its not like goin out for a meal where the chef makes your individual meal, they cater for hundreds in the one go here and for that they done not bad in Imo, and we have some funny fussy eaters in my house,put it this way we never went hungry and most of the time we enjoyed our evening meal, granted breakfast was different and apart from a couple of mornings we always went out for brekkie.
The staff were ok too, your goona get the odd one whose face would break if they smiled but we found this to be rare, the entertainment at nights was ok for the kids but it was getting painful for me and mrs by time 2weeks were up, but the kids really liked it and thats whats make us happy. When you have a few hundred families in the one hotel theres goin to be sickness, with kids not washing there hands before meals and handling the food instead of using utensils, but there was not much when i was there,and most where 24hr bugs,
overall a good family holiday and this hotel is well worth the money, you want 5star then pay it.

I think Benidorm is a good place to go for a first time holiday exspecially for those who are full of energy and like a gd nite life.
Hotel Regente i wouldnt recomend to people firstly because the walls are paper thin and you end up leaving the hotel knowing about your neighbours personal life. also the food wasnt up 2 standard so i bareley ate it.and the bug that was going about which no1 knew of affected my boyfriend and he hasnt stopped being ill yet. The staff were very rude and uninterested. first nite in the hotel we all walked along med avenue and experienced two car crashes in the space of 10 mins. it felt really unsafe leaving the hotel as cars were also going through red lights all the time. and to top it all off on the last day of our holiday my bag was stolen.
But some things werent that bad the rooms were cleaned and tidied everyday along with clean towels. The pool area at the hotel was gd and i really engoyed the nite life there to. Aqua Landia was really fun. mundomar was the best the sea lions and dolphins were gorgeous and the shows were great.
i probably wouldnt go back to the hotel. i was worried at the fact my boyfriend cought a bug and so did many other people.

just back from a weeks holiday in the hotel regente.
lovely hotel, clean, fresh towels and rooms cleaned daily. staff are very
nice, especially carlos the waiter at the pool bar! food is pretty average but its the same at every hotel in spain ive been to. pretty central and 10 mins walk from the beach. superb bakery right next door to the regente (go out pool gate and its just on the left). ran by a welsh girl and the food is delicious! if you like greggs the bakers...........mmmmm!
pool is a good size but you need to be down before 8am to get a lounger. the british are becoming worse than the germans!
no entertainment during the day but theres the kids club, pool tables etc. entertainment at night is fantastic - rob the dj is a great host. free bingo, show for the kids followed by an adults show. good variety.
tour reps were fine and couldnt have been more helpful.
we booked days out at terra natura, mundomar and aqualandia. terra natura is divided into 'continents' and have animals ranging from elephants, camels and panthers to ponies, deer and guinea pigs. mundomar was wonderful with the parrot, sealion and dolphin shows. aqualandia is also a must - plenty of slides, a huge outdoor jacuzzi and a beautiful laguna.
benidorm itself is fantastic. ive been 12 times and theres so much to do for every age. you will have to check out the small beach in a cove beside the harbour, visit peacock island on the glass bottomed boat, take a trip to altea and grab some bargains at the big outdoor market on wed and sun.
anyone that tells you they dont like benidorm and its 'blackpool in the sun' - go and see for yourself. i guarantee you will go back time and time again. ive just booked up for 2 weeks in the regente for next year and cant wait!

just returned from regenta before i went i read up on this hotel and i was a bit unhappy about remarks but i can say we had no problem at all with this hotel we thought the food was very good and the hotel was very clean we had a really good week and we would go back to this hotel the only thing we found wrong is that there was not enough sunbeds you have to be up early to get a bed but that is all so anyone going there this summer enjoy

Just got back from this hotel.
Hotel is clean and staff are hard working.
3 of us were ill with a mystery sickness bug as stated by a lot of other people. The food seemed ok. Nothing special but adequate!
Pool area was lovely. Had to be up early for sunbeds tho and lots of them still empty at 1pm so this was annoying.
The walls really arepaper thin. We could have conversations thru them with our kids and i am not exaggerating! Its the noisiest hotel i have ever stayed in and sleep was a distant memory by the end of the week.
Cleaners everyday but again early and ssooo noisy.
The resort is adult entertainment which suited us but not a good idea with smaller kids as very sex orientated in most bars.
All in all a good week but would stay elsewhere.
Hotel Regente just a touch too far out for me specially after scorching temperatures and a few drinks.
Have great time anyway!

We have just returned back from Hotel Regente for the 2nd time and met up with people from last year who stayed there too. There is so many bad reviews about this hotel. I have no problems again, The staff are so friendly the rooms are cleaned daily and bedding changed daily. Evening entertainment on every night along with either bingo or Kareoke. Food is ok but like most half board hotels you get bored of the food nearer the end of the week.This hotel is so value for money and i have been to benidorm for the 3rd time now and will definatley be staying in the Regente again. The only thing I have to say is Bring Back Victor the entertainer he was a great hard working guy who got on well with everyone.

Just spent a week at Regente,Staff and reps very helpful.
Enjoyed the stay ,until 5 days into holiday i got the sickness
bug,next day my daughter was ill,the following day was my poor little
grandson being sick.The reps added us to their list of people with same
complaint.How can Thomson Holidays
keep sending people,when the receptionist told
me the bug has been on and off at the hotel for the last 12 months....
will i return to regente!no thank you!!!!We were still feeling unwell for a week on our return home,A good bit of news,we had a lovely day at Mundamar,well worth a visit.,.

Hotel was ok..... really clean spacious rooms but walls paper thin, you really can hear EVERYTHING next door !!!!! Food ok but not much choice for kids our daughter lived on chips and gravy for 11 nights.The friday gala dinner lovely but some nights food was undercooked or cold !! Kids club great well worth paying 3euro for extra evening activities, the reps were really good with the kids.
Evening entertainment very basic not worth staying in for! Benidorm does not really cater for children and pub entertainment is mainly for adults , the best bars we found (near the end of our holiday) were up from the hotel near the Flamingo Oasis Hotel, entertainment, pool tables, internet etc to keep kids happy. Try Union Jack (opposite hotel)for a good breakfast, and Tasty Bite Bakery next door for sandwiches (delicious).
Overall we would not go back to Benidorm for a family holiday but for adults travelling without kids go and see Elvis ( Davy Keegan ) at the Town, Chrissy Rock at Morgans Tavern and Albi Senior at Rockerfellars BRILL !!!!

just back from benidorm staying at the hotel regente the hotel was ok apart from being able to hear every word from your next room the walls are very thin so take earplugs if you want to sleep food was pretty average not a lot of choice but the bakers next door make good pasties the rooms were small but very clean its set up for kids during high season the only point ive got against the regente was the dreaded word sunbeds there are very few and unless you are up with the larks or what i witnessed people putting towels down at 3-4am you have no chance we used to blaim the germans but this hotel is totally british so its us brits to blaim just do what we did remove them when you want a bed
anyway i would go back to the regente if the right deal came up

Its good to be back , home that is! Stayed at the Regente after reading good reviews. The hotel itself is ok but there was no daytime activities as advertised in Skytours brochure and the food was a disgrace , very poor quality. The level of hygiene in the restaurant wasn't the best eg spilt food from previous night still on the floor at breakfast,squashed flies on the windows and dried food on cutlery.Perhaps these were the cause of most of the guests including us having sickness and diarrhoea!!
The rooms are basic but ok except for the paper thin walls which is'nt great when next door seem to shout everthing and move beds and chairs about at all hours.

Just returned from the hotel Regente, There is some sort of bug in
the hotel at the moment.3 members of our party of 5 were struck down
with cronic sickness on the last full day of our holiday. One of these
people was my daughter who is 21 weeks pregnant, which of course was a
cause for concern. We happened to mention this to the Rep who took
details on a sheet of paper that included lots of peoples names who had
also been struck down. Apparently members of staff were also ill and a
fair few people I spoke to had the same symptoms. To cut a long story
short, my daughter seemed to improve, but had a relapse on the plane
where she couldnt stop being sick, the Thomson Holidays
flight crew attendants
were most caring and helpful, they seemed very interested in where we
stayed and said other peole on the flight were ill with sickness. They
arranged for a paramedic to meet the plane to check her out, and all was
well.
Having said all that! the food in the hotel was great, and the hotel was very clean, I suppose these things can happen anywhere, but is enough being done to stop this bug spreading

I am writing on behalf of my mum,Freda Moran who stayed recently at the Regente.Mum had a lovely time at both the resort and this hotel in spite of having a nasty fall in a nearby street and having to make several trips to hospital with a badly bruised arm.She said all the staff at the hotel looked well after her,making sure she got up to her room safely and carrying her drinks for her.Mum travelled on her own and it obviously unnerved her to fall, but the staff and indeed hotel guests all helped to make it a good holiday for her.this really is a good excellently run hotel

First visit to the Regente, very good hotel overall. Chose mainly for
Thomson Holidays
kidzone club, which excelled itself! 4 year old daughter went to
almost every session & thought it wonderful, especially BOUNCY BEN!! The
evening sessions (3 times week) were worth 3 Euros, we could have a
evening meal in peace while she had fun. Dining room staff were happy
for her to have early snack, then us go back later. Food excellent,
especially carveries!!
We found evening entertainment bit boring, lots of singers with similar repetoire & only family entertainment specials were on at same time as evening kids club...not good planning!!
All staff were excellent...rooms cleaned every day, bar service excellent, dining room staff very efficient, and reception friendly.
I agree with comments about the Thomson Holidays
rep...she didn't seem
interested when I asked her anything that didn't involve booking
something with her!! Not the friendly, chatty type that we've had in
other hotels.
Mundomar is a must with young children (can walk from hotel); enjoyed Terra Mitica, but not as impressed with Terra Natura (we went on a Thurs, and took until 2pm to find a drinks/food kiosk open)
Would return to Regente if back to Benidorm, but overall found Salou to be better resort for young children due to parks, playgrounds etc.

to be honest not bad for the money but we have had better , the food well not bad but gets a bit boring when you have had it a few times in the same week we went out every night in the second week for our meals, the lifts well what can i say it is just as well we were only on the 4th floor not too many flights of stairs walk , slow is not the WORD , the resort very good close to some good bars , union jack over the road very good grub , close to beach and shops , if i was asked would i go back to this hotel the answer would be a NO NO NO .

Have just returned from our first holiday to benidorm and cant wait to go back!
Loved the Regente hotel, excellent bar, entertainment. Food was nice but a bit repetative but this is usually the case half board, also not too much for kids especially as I have a 9 year old veggie,she had cheese and chips most nights.The Friday night gala menu was fab, i had roast beef, yorks pud and mash.
Pool area is lovely with pool side bar, selling snacks, drinks and ice creams.Although I would recommend the bakery next door but one to the pool gate, Yum pasties and cream buns!
Yes I agree with other reports, walls are very thin, we could have a conversation through ours with my parents.
Had a good day out to Aqualandia,plenty of Benidorm nights out, saw Abba, Cher and a few Elvis` !!

s, flights were on time etc, although our rep
in the hotel was a bit miserable and unhelpful,she looked annoyed if you
asked her a question, she seemed to be thinking `oh get lost i`ve got
better things to do`!
All in all a fab time and would def go back to Benidorm and the Regente!

Food in the hotel a bit 'fast foodish' but given the clients (families and young people) fine something for everyone even fussy eaters. Hotel very clean and staff very helpful, the hotel has paper thin walls and to get a good nights sleep suggest earplugs. Entertainment family based but o.k. quite near shops and bars overall a very good value for money hotel. this was our 2nd visit.

A good value hotel, not too far from the Beach and nightlife, plenty of smaller bars in the area.
The restaurant had plenty of choice at meal time and the staff in there are very pleasant and work hard clearing the tables.
The rooms are quite basic but are more than adequate. TV in the room requires a remote control from reception cost 20 euro's deposit,this is returned when you give back the remote at the end of your stay.
we found most of the staff to be really friendly and helpful, the only exceptions were one or two of the bar staff, they were happy if they received a good tip, mumbled away to each other if they didn't.
Only stayed in for a couple of nights to sample the entertainment, which, to be honest was a bit naff.The compare,Stephen, is a pleasant enough chap and tries hard,but it did get a bit boring.(Why would you think you could keep people entertained by sitting a few of them down in front of a TV screen and playing "Who wants to be a millionaire")One of the nights we stayed in was because our grandson wanted to see the parrot show, he had his photo taken with a couple of them on his shoulder and the photo cost 10 euro's so that was a bit of a rip off, especially when we went to Mundomar and got 5 different photo's for 11 euro's 50cents.We really enjoyed that visit and thought that the dolphin show was very good.
But all in all, a good hotel to stay in and would certainly stay there again.

found regente excellent in every way
food, accomodation, entertainment,staff.
right on the doorstep for the shops and a 5 minute walk to the beach.
entertainment every night with good shows
free bingo and quizes interchanging every other night with small prizes,which as got to be a saving over the holiday.
the only downer is the thickness of the walls,you can here everything
paid £287 each for 14 nights full board ie £20 a night with flights.
it looks like another holiday we will have trouble booking because of its popularity.
ps it never rained for a fortnight just sunshine 65 to 70 degrees

the "bug"affected us as well.we lost the first week of r holiday.reps and hotel said it was not a problem.mundamar was great espically the dolphins.terra mitcha seemed 2 b for the children.not as good as the 1 in salou 4 adults.

The Regente is an excellent value for money hotel. The food is better than we have had in some 4* hotels. Had no problems with security. Only stayed in two nights and the entertainmnet was very good.
Would recommend this hotel but beware the walls are thin. Why didn't they insulate the walls when it was refurbished? This is the only thing which might make us think twice about going back there.
Benidorm? Well what can one say? Quiet it aint but then do you want that? Great for enjoying yourself and the weather was every day hot and sunny.

Hi, all well the long and short of it i hired a safety deposit box in my room in the hotel regente, had 390pounds english notes, and a 100pounds euro's and my car keys with immobiliser, all were stolen by some member of staff from the hotel, as i always had the key in my bag. This happened not even a week into our holiday which made us have to really budget our money and with a 12year old son and a 8year old daughter it made it worse because we couldn't afford the things we wanted to do with them. Security guards of the hotel were seen on numerous occasions entering or leaving the rooms in a suspicious way, very sneaky looking.
All in all with the money stolen and how much it will cost to replace the locks to my car and the immobiliser, we have had about 600pounds stolen. Receptionist denied everything said it was not possible as there is only one key, but i wonder if i had the one key, and there was no forced entry to either room door of safety box where did my money go obviously you know the answer as much as i do. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to ANYONE, and most certainly WILL NOT be re-visiting the hotel ever again..........

just got back from the regente and i have to say we were very pleased with the hotel,food was brill spare ribs are to die for,rooms clean but very thin walls my sister was in next room and we used to talk to each other through walls great fun for kids, staff on reception can not do enough for you and only 1 of bar staff was rude he pushed mt daughter out of way ,reported him and he soon changed.
would definitely go back to hotel ,although rep was no good.

We stayed at the regente after booking a very late deal on half board
basis with Thomson Holidays
7 nights £139 each plus supplements,
Having payed that price we didnt know what to expect but the start of
the holiday with Thomson Holidays
`s was brilliant then came the hotel REGENTE
what were we going to get well for what we paid we didnt expect much as
it was just a break away from home but when we got there the hotel was
lovely ,very clean the staff were lovely , vic was just off his trolley
great guy .
the food was first class accounted for every taste ,as of 1 review i
read about the dogs mess we went out every day and night for walks i
couldnt see no dogs mess hummmm maybe thats couple had to much vino
...the security guard that was on at night hasnt been mentioned i
watched a few times where he was kepping the children happy ... i would
recomend the regente to any body and tour operators Thomson Holidays
for what we
paid it was first class all round
we have been home 4 wks and plan to go back in the next 2 wks again ....

Regente, what can I say, brilliant.
Third year in a row at this Hotel and it gets better very year. Was worried about reports of people being ill, however out of the 11 of us, none were ill. Ate every night at Hotel, carvery three times a week, wonderful, odd days when there was things on that a couple of us didn't like but still managed to eat. Victor, wonderful, brilliant, funny, a pleasure to be in his company. Already booked for next year again. Hotel standards improved since last yer cleanliness brilliant. Disagree with several comments on other people's comments, REGENTE AND VICTOR ARE WELL WORTH THE MONEY.
Benidorm is wonderful. Can't wait to return next year as are several people who we met this year.

Contrary to reports on the Regente, we found the staff very helpful- meals good with a carvery 3 times in the week we were there and champagne served to us more than once. It is located away from the noisy part of the town but within easy walking distance to the beach. We were unfortunate however to be in the next room to an inconsiderate noisy family who disturbed our sleep every night (not the Regente's fault). We will certainly stay here again on our next visit to Benidorm. Holiday taken July 2006. A good family hotel.

Have just returned from the hotel regente in benidorm and all we can say is please dont worry about the recent remarks about people getting ill at this hotel.It is the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in and the maids work all day and night to make sure all areas are clean.There were people ill at the hotel BUT I witnessed lots of people helping themselves to food with their hands instead of the tongs provided and using the loo, then not bothering to wash their hands.The food is lovely,always hot and we had roast beef 3 times in a week! The staff are all very nice and will go out of their way to help.They even heated our baby food up for us even if the restaurant was closed.
Benidorm itself we were not too impressed with.It was very dirty and there were beggers on every street corner.The sea front makes for a nice evening stroll and if you walk right along the prom to the old town it will take you a good 50 mins NOT 25 like we were told!
All in all the regente is a lovely hotel which should be made into a 4 star hotel but benidorm wasnt for us.

just arrived back after a very hot fortnight, found Hotel Regente to be of good value food good and plenty of choice, entertainment good, and resident compere (Victor)is a scream especially when doing the bingo-clickity click -fish and chips!
Benidorm is ideal for all ages and there is plenty to do for young and old alike,loads of shopping for the ladies and markets too lots of bars and ladies for the gents, before your holiday ends you have to go to the Benidorm Palace where you can enjoy a fantastic show and meal,and also go see Sticky vicky where you "wouldnt believe", lads, no kids allowed!!
the beaches are very good although can get a little crowded so go early we stayed at the levante beach area and it was packed , there are little coves around Benidorm where a bit more peace can be achieved for those wanting a bit of chill time, a good bar is The Village bar in the centre, and O`mara`s bar in the old town and also the Square where its wild! and you can try your hand at Bull riding! if you are young at heart Benidorm is for you!- enjoy!!!!!

We went via Sky Travel and paid about £600 and for this money this hotel was great value. I was a bit nervous before going as the reviews were not the best but i would stay at the Regente again. We used the hotel as a base and didnt spend any time in the bar and pool area but it looked fine. The rooms were amoung the cleanest i have come across in Spain.
One note of caution lots of people were ill at this hotel but not sure why as the food was the normal kind of stuff(salads meets chips chips chips some nice curry) The rep looked a bit nervous when i asked her to check some tablets i'd bought for acid (to much bacardi) and later found out why when a group gave her a hard time over been ill.
We will go to Benidorm again but may try for something near the Old Town but then again the walk is a nice one. Have a good time.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Regente Hotel. Our first impressions were that it was a nice hotel, not to big, and everything looked clean and tidy. Spent the first day exploring, as this was our first trip to Benidorm. I must say after reading reports and listening to people who have been to Benidorm, they all said it was lovely and clean. I found it to be rather dirty, especially the amount of dog mess that littered the pavements on the streets surrounding the Regente.
THE GOOD BITS
Kidszone: Kerry & Suzie were brilliant with the children, although in my opinion the club was under-used. The facility is there for your children to have a break from us parents, yet some people chose not to use it. If you are going to the Regente and have children, use the Kidszone.
Aqualandia: Fantastic day out for the kids (and us older kids. They have a brilliant part especially for people with younger children, and all the usual white knuckle slides for us big kids.
Victor: This gut tries his hardest to get everyone involved, although the equipment he had at his disposal was poor. His bingo calling is a show in itself, i wonder how the old dears who play bingo in England would take to him.
THE BAD BITS
FOOD QUALITY: We found the food in the Regente to be of a poor standard. On the nights there was a carvery it was enjoyable, although one night they had a roast beef carvery, but there was only 1 veg (cabbage)to accompany it. We ate out the whole of the second week apart, from one carvery night. On that night a questionaire was given to everyone in the restaurant, asking for peoples views on how they could improve the food. That proved to me there was a problem.
BAR STAFF: Ignorant to say the least, they had no time for children, and one in particular used to snatch your money off you. The staff could do with being sent to Majorca to see how to properly treat children.
NIGHT-TIME ENTERTAINMENT: This was of a very poor quality, there was nothing for children, no kids disco etc etc. The acts seemed to cater only for people over the age of 60, if you wasn't into Jim Reeves,Perry Come etc the singers weren't for you. 2 decent acts we saw in 14 nights. A very good comedian, and a singer/musician called Wesley Phillips.
I doubt very much we would ever return to the Regente, back to Alcudia for us next year i think. If you are going to the Regente this year, i hope you have a better experiance than we did.

This was a last minute deal and we had our fingers crossed it would not be this hotel.(stayed here 2 years ago and we hated it). How unlucky were we.
Why people return here 2 and 3 times a year is beyond me.
We tried to get re-allocated but to no avail so we tried to make the best of a bad thing.
Hotel was clean and cleaning staff were pleasant however bar staff were not and some of them could have auditioned to be the child catcher in Chitty Bang bang!!!
Restaurant, same boring stuff as there had been 2 years ago so ate out in town every evening and also stayed in town for entertainment. Singers in hotel were mainly for the oap's.
There were a lot of people sick with a bug which apparently was not down to hotel food. If this is so, how come all the people who ate out were not effected.
Pool area was full of "chavs" so we went to the beach. We only used the hotel to wash and sleep in.
It is the hotel from hell and if you like the finer things in life don't book here.Having done about 6 last minute late deals,I'll never do another one again, especially to benidorm.

We were very surprised when we entered the hotel, After reading the other comments were dreading it!
The staff were very friendly especially Victor wearing his hula hula grass skirt!!!
Food excellent. we had a free glass of champagne on friday night which was gala night.
pool excellent for the kids but, beware of the lose paving slabs round pool!
room very clean & towels changed everyday. beds made everyday.
There's a massive market on every wednesday & sunday - don't miss it!
You must visit MUNOMAR which is a 25 minite walk from the hotel. A breath taking experience not to be missed. The dolphins are fantastic & i had my photo taken with one which, is an amazing experience for any dolphin lover.
Over all a lovely holiday & would recommend the Regente to anyone. We would certainly go back there!!

just came back from the regente (22nd april) fantastic hotel very good food and all staff were very friendly, also rooms were very clean swimming pool great for the kids they loved it,and entertainment good in evening especially Victor he was so fuuny. you must experience his bingo calling, all in all would reccomend this hotel 10 out of 10. there were two o.a.p's in our party we asked for low floors on booking and we got them.

Just visited the Regente for a 2 nights stay on my hen party and after reading some of the reviews was dreding it, however.......... Not one of us could fault the hotel at all the rooms were well kept and clean the bathrooms were spotless (no mildew) in sight and found the food to be excellent with something for everyone.
I have stayed in lesser 3* hotels.
I would certainly return and all of my friends said the same.

Firsly, Cannot believe the negative comments about the Regente Hotel. On arrival one of our rooms wasn't ready, we were told it would be ready in an hour which was fine. The receptionist came and found us within that time, No problem whatsoever. We found most of the staff always very polite apart from the odd one, but is there not always one?!
Rooms were fine but as many people have said walls are very thin, you are able to hear people's TVs sometimes.
Entertainment for a 2* hotel was very good having been told by friends staying in a 4*hotel up the road that their's wasn't as good. Could not fault the food at all,always looked fresh and plenty of it, although sometimes a little repetitive but I don't know what people expect for a 2* hotel.
All in all a good time had by all> Benidorm is a very cheap and cheerful place and we hope to be going back this year.
PS: Shame about the dog's poo on the pavements.

well we back again from benidorm and yes Thomson Holidays
done it again for us
,this time we spent to weeks there and same hotel regente the resort we
like so much the hotel well guess il be eating a few of my words from
lasttime we stayed at the regente for 2 wks the first wk was like we
expected it was out of this world but when you get into the second week
things change slightly different rooms are not cleaned as often and our
floor it got to the stage we had to wear shoes as our feet were getting
dirty
the food is as i said excellent 99% of the staff are great 1 member
of staff as i walked from the shops back to hotel was outat the back of
the hotel encouraging to dogs to fight he was grabbing the smallest and
chucking him against the bigger so they would fight me being an animal
lover had to stop it as also there were an elderly couple cringing at
what he was doing ,well like i say il try and go with Thomson Holidays
everytime
they are really good the regente id go back but only on a weekly basis
....
we went to the benidorm palace and was told on booking a choice of 2 meals but when we got there we didnt have a choice it was soup,salmon,cooked dinner,and ice cream.so for people who dont like fish as we didnt be carefull on booking the show was excellent and all thats left now is for me to say who ever is going away have a great time as we did this year,we allready planning 4 trips for next year

Have just returned from two weeks at the Regente hotel, we went for xmas. This hotel is supposed to be a 2* well i think it should be a 1* because the food was awful every night you went to dinner and i could not find anything that even looked nice. The walls in the room are so thin you might as well share with the people next door. We did not find some of the staff very helpful at all. The day we arrived we could not get into our room for at least 2 hours and when we went back to the reception to ask when we could evenually get in he just shruggged his shoulders and said he did not know.
All in all we will never go back to this hotel again as for Benidorm it is a glorified concrete jungle you may as well go to Blackpool at least the food would,nt be as bad.

just returned from benidorm,staying at the hotel regente.The hotel is excellent value for money.Food very good but a bit repetative,rooms clean and tidy,staff very friendly and helpful.The nightporter
Francesco (if my memory serves me right) is a hoot,a very funny man from La Carunia who speaks very good english and has a joke for you every night.
The pool was a no-go for us because there were far too many kids (Do they not go to school in september?)But there is a sun deck where there are plenty loungers,umbrellas etc.
Benidorm has the best entertainment in all the spanish resorts.We,ve been to majorca tenerife torremolinos and Benidorm beats them hands down.There are too many pubs to list them all,but they are all free entry with 4 or 5 acts on.
Comediens are very good (Except for the chubby brown Guy). .Shoewaddywaddy and the beatles are a must see.Drinks are very reasonbly priced considering the acts that are on.
4.50euros for a brand name spirit and mixer.
Iwould go back to Benidorm again to the same hotel,but there is a downside.
Because the drink is so cheap you get a lot of drunks and i mean pain in the arse drunks.Not very good door staff,in fact there aren,t any,so it can spoil you.re
night when someone is shouting louder than the act. If you are eating out and like Indian food,i have to reccomend The Punjabi.Youll find it up from Linekers bar.The food is first class and the staff are very friendly and attentive.

We have holiday'd in Benidorm every summer for the past 14 years but this was a quicky extra holiday and choice of accommodation rather limited. We were a bit apprehensive as some of the reviews had not been kind but we were pleasantly surprised. This hotel is really excellant for a 2 star hotel and compares very well with our regular hotel Calypso. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was very spacious (better than the Calypso). Overall the food was good and everyone at the hotel were very pleasant and helpful. The pool is excellant and the jacuzi was a real treat. Although the main area around the pool was quite crowded there is a sun terrace which was quiet and peaceful (usually child free).
We would have no hesitation in re-booking the Regente.

I cant believe the insults ive heard about the hotel! this was my first time abroad and i couldnt have had a better time. its right next to loads of cheap bars especially the white horse which we went to for the three birthdays that were in our group in benidorm, happy hour was more like happy 3 hours and nearly every drink was bogof offer.
the beach is a short walk but it was so hot when we went in august that it was better to stay by the pool where you could quickly go inside where its fully air conditioned. all the rooms are air conditioned and the dial means you can have it as cold as you like. the bar staff and waiters were all very helpful the food was good we only ate out once. the receptionist was a bit grumpy but that was the worst thing which isnt too major. the entertainment was good and kept our age range amused. the resort was not too great. mundomar is good but i would not encourage a trip to aqulandia. the water is full of insects and leaves and its salt water! also i got an ear infection after the visit. the poolwas a good size and the thing about not getting a sunbed is a lie! we went in peak season and we each got a sunbed every day you just have to be there early! as we left early the day we went but had paid for a last breakfast i do believe that there should have been a better choice, we went without.
in my opinion the holiday was amazing and suited to everyone!!

I have stayed at the Regente now for the last 4 years. I was travelling alone, and price was a consideration, particularily with single room supplements - which arnt bad here, and I have always been given a double room even in August.
I only eat Breakfast at the Hotel as I prefer to eat in the Old Town and Spanish Restaurants at night and am on Beach during day. So I cant really comment on pool, Evening Meal or Entertainment here. The Breakfasts are certainly adequate, just what you would expect in most Spanish Hotels and better than a lot of 3 or 4 star actually. The dinning room is nice bright and clean.
The Staff throughout the hotel are very helpfull and friendly, and I cannot fault them in anyway. They all speak good English, but as always its nice just to use a few words of Spanish, even if its only hola buenos dias! It is appreciated!! I have not had the experience of hearing the snoring etc of next room occupants, and have no complaints of the rooms whatsoever! No have I heard any noise at night. I have occasionally seen kids running unsupervised around the bar and lift areas when i've returned from the beach. Again i'm afraid you get this in many types of accomodation mainly in high season. This does not really reflect on the Hotel - more on the inconsiderate parents who let their kids run wild!!
The resort itself can be many things to many people. The Square area whilst being ok for the younger party animals is not my cup of tea, however the old town with its Spanish Restaurants, Tapas Bars and shops is full of character and people!!!THe Beach was never too crowded even in August and is very clean. There is entertainment of every conceivable kind in Benidorm, the choice is yours, do your research, decide what you want and which area of the resort to stay in and you should have a great time.

should be ashamed to have this in their brochures.
The hotel is very basic,entertainment poor to non existent. Meals were dull, bland and repetitive. The drinks service was poor in fact we used to smuggle our own in until we decided we would eat out after the first few days. The pool was lovely although it got crowded due to the fact that neighbouring apartments were allowed to use them and the entrance did lead out into a very busy road ( not good for parents with children who like to wander.)
The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the maid service was excellent. Clean towels every day, even the day we went home, and they gave us extra pillows for free.
On the plus side Benidorm has plenty for people of all ages and I recommend you go to Terramitica, Mundomar, Aqualandia, mediaeval night and the Algar waterfalls even though they are toe curlingly freezing.
Avoid Benidorm centre on a weekend though, to many stags and hens.Try the old town instead, Taxi for 3 euro or a steady 30 mins walk.
Wouldn't recomend this hotel to any one, next year going to Flamingo Oasis up the road, better class of everything, more what we are used to.Can't believe we were recomended this by our Lun Poly travel agents.

Just returned from the Regente in Benidorm. I was a little worried after reading recent reviews but we had a great time. The Hotel is a 2* as the brocure says but I have stayed in worse 3* hotels than this.
Our ratings out of 10 are as follows:-
Hotel(7) Good for a 2* hotel. Aircon was spot on. Pool is OK. It was busy when we were there so pool got quite full.Staff were great and could not do enough for you.
Food (9) Never had a bad meal. Great variety incuding fish, steaks, great homemade soup. Free champagne with evening meal on a Friday. Could not fault it!
Room(7) Walls were a little thin but hey what do you want for a 2* hotel
Location(7) We stayed in the Rio park last time in Benidorm which more central but saying that you were close to the beach and the fabulous Aqualandia. a must visit! Also close to Mundomar where the dolphin show is worth the entrance fee alone
Nightlife (9)Typically tourist based but we had great nights out in the White Horse, Wheeltappers, Stardust and many more. Drink varies as you pay more for your drinks if there is entertainment on which is fair enough. Great pub opposite the hotel called Hoxtons which has a pint for 1 euro. If you get the chance try and see Jack Daniels at the Wheeltappers. What a comedian!
Beach (7) Looks great but look out for rocks as you walk into the surf.
Weather (10) Fantastic all week.
All in all Regente is a good 2* hotel and was very good value for money. To those people who thought it was poor, its a case of you get what you pay for and if you want more class you need to pay more and stay in a higher star hotel.

we have just returned from this hotel after a wonderful holiday.The weather was very hot in the day and didn't cool down much at night.the hotel was air conditioned and it was a blessing in our room after a day round the pool.The pool was spacious and there were plenty of sunbeds including a sun terrace.
The meals were very nice for a 2* hotel and there was plenty of choice for everyone even our son who is a fussy eater.
The hotel is just 10 minutes from action or the beach but far away enough to not be to noisy.
We had stayed in this hotel four years ago and were very surprised at how well it had been modernised.The kids club was very good and the reps were very friendly.There are some cheap pubs over the road where it is only 1 euro a pint.Also the snscks in the Union Jack bar over the road were very nice.
All in all we had a brilliant holiday at the regente and would recommend it to anyone.

Really worried about going to this hotel after reading some of the comments - I dont know what people expect when they book 2 star accommodation. We found the hotel to be exceptionally clean, food was brilliant - lots of choice - and the pool area was great with lots of sunbeds and brilliant bar/snack bar with lovely food. The hotel was in a great location, close to the beach and near to lots of shops and bars. I will admit the walls were really thin in the hotel and there were only two lifts but as we were on the first floor this did not bother us. The rooms were kept spotlessly clean with change of towels every day.
The entertainment on the evenings could have been better but to be honest we went out most evenings so this didnt bother us. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
I would definately go back to this hotel.

We've just returned from a 2week stay here and thought it was great. Hotel very clean, staff very friendly, good choice of food. Should be rated at least 3 stars.
Easy access to shops and bars. Beach about 5 minute walk.
Aqualandia Water Park was excellent, as was Terra Mitica Theme Park.
We've read previous reviews on this hotel which were quite bad but we couldn't find fault with any of it. Was a great place for families of all ages.

Hotel very good, clean, staff very friendly. Rooms slightly small if 4 sharing but very nice. Cleaned everyday beds made and fresh towels. Food very good, lots of choice. Kids club very good. Entertainment okay could be better (for older people). Close to bars and shops near beach. Quite a few family pubs - The Loch Ness, Panchos, The Cellar. Hoxtons 1 Euro a pint!!!. Would go back to Regente again. Recommend Waterpark. Terra Mitica (after 5pm - no queues and cooler) Terra Natura very good and all reasonably priced.

just got back a week ago from the regente, benidorm, can't wait to go back again.
food,room, cleanliness,barstaff were all excellent, especially mario, him and our son got on great.air-con in rooms was lovely. walls were a bit thin but saying that we still slept well. managed to get beds round pool later in afternoon but sun deck had loads of room to sunbathe. didn't stay in hotel on a night as entertainment wasn't all that good.went to white horse pub, great for kids and adults good entertainment happy hour 7.30 til 9.30. stardusts and wheeltappers and shunters bars very good entertainment aswell. we loved the resort, went to aqualandia, mundomar, glass bottomed boat, markets. the dolphin show at mundomar was a highlight for us, not to be missed. only spent one week here and still had loads to do and see hope to go back again soon. might try a different hotel a bit more central, but hope we don't regret changing.
regente definitely worth a visit most definitely stay ther again in the future

Fab holiday. Regente hotel only 2 star but we would certainly rate at at least 3 star.
Rooms clean, food great. Even my ten year old ate which is a first. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Richard the hotel rep was excellent. The kids club reps Claire/Kerry were great. The manager is really hands on and couldnt do enough for you. He seemed to be everywhere and helping everyone. Its the first time we have ever stayed in the hotel for the entertainment. The hotel is quite central and there are lots of pubs etc near by.
Loads of sunbeds available. We hired a fridge. 52 Euro for 14 days.
We couldnt fault the hotel and would go back. Its a family hotel and if you go expect to see lots of kids.

Just returned from 2 weeks in Hotel Regente and here are our thoughts.
The hotel staff were all good at their job, and friendly. Maid service was very good. Rooms are not spacious, but you dont have to live there, so are adequate. The hotel is in the Levante/Rincon area of Benidorm and not far from from the beach and attractions. Good swimming pool, but can at times be a little bit crowded but visit at the right times and the pool is yours.
Benidorm is a great resort, there's something there for everyone, and all ages (I do prefer the Old Town area).
The food is reasonably good, although it is done on a rota, and if you stay for two week you know whats on the menu for the second week. If you have children that prefer Chicken Nuggets/Fish Fingers etc you may at times struggle to find anything other than chips.
Bar area and entertainment is ok, but why stay in the hotel when the choice is far better elsewhere? Must mention Hoxton bar opposite the hotel, 1E a pint, and happy hour all day on local spirits (2 drinks for 3.5E).
Now some things that I believe to be negative points.
The lifts would be ok if parents did not allow their children to play in them. They use the lift unaccompanied (Not Allowed) then press all of the buttons before getting out. So, if you need to go down from say level 4, you may have to visit 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 before going down. No fault of the lifts.
People leave towels, inflatables on sunbeds around the pool overnight. Occasionally they are removed, but not always. Plus people are about early in the morning to book their sunbeds, but dont always appear until mid-afternoon. Go to the pool about 4pm and you are ok. The area around the pool bar can get untidy, ie plastic cups and ice cream wrappers etc on the floor. Why dont the man behind the bar empty the bins when they are full?
The wall between rooms are thin, so you have to hope you get conciderate neigbours.
Summary;
Did have a great time, many places to visit ie Mundamar, Terra Mitica, Terra Natura, Noar's Arc animal rescue centre, Guadualest and many more. If the Hotel could somehow sort out the inconciderate minority it would easily be a 3* establishment. I would go to Regente again, in the hope that the negatives have been rectified.

This hotel is a great 2 star the food and cleanliness of this hotel is excellent. The down side is that the walls in this hotel are that thin that we were kept awake several nights from someone snoring in the next room. Its no joke when it carries on night after night.
We had a really good holiday here but would not return due to the resort itself. It is quite run down in areas and dirty. Its OK for a lads/girls holiday but not a family holiday. If your idea of a holiday is boozing day and night you will be alright here but if not stay well clear. We went to the beach in the evening as you could hardly move during the day it was far too crowded.

We have just returned from the Regente and had a wonderful holiday.
We were very pleased with the accommodation, the room was clean and tidy. The maid cleaned the room daily with fresh towels also. The food was very good with a good choice for all. Kids Club in the Hotel was excellent, reps were great with the kids. Entertainment in the hotel was okay but could be improved. Benidorm itself caters more for adults although there are a few pubs at night with childrens entertainment. Manager of the hotel and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool was lovely with a large pool and a smaller pool for the kids with play area. You had to be up early to get a lounger, but you would expect this in high season.
All in all we would recommend this hotel. The aquapark is a great day out and is only 5 mins by taxi from the hotel, not to be missed.

This hotel was hell on earth.
The clientele really did leave a lot to be desired. Most people let there kids run riot all day round by the pool. One child terrorised everyone by the pool for a week, we all cheered when the bus picked him and his family up to go home.
The pool area was adequate although there was no life guard. The rooms were just about adequate for three but soooo noisy, really inconsiderate neighbours. Maid service was spot on, clean bedding and towels everyday, even the day we went home as we kept our room till 6. The food was bland but they do brill chips, just as well coz thats all I ate for the first few days before we decided to eat out. The entertainment was $*&%, but the hotel manager played the "bottles" well. (those who've stayed here will know what I mean).

We should have stayed at the Rio Park but building work was still going on there so changed to the Regente.
We have given the following ratings out of 10.
Rooms (9) clean and tidy with tv, aircon, telephone and balcony.
Food (8) Reasonable selection and usually hot.
Entertainment (5) There is plenty of room for improvement here! Better quality acts would make all the difference!
Pool and sunbeds (7) Nice pool but very crowded when busy, if the guests followed the hotel rules and not take lilos in the pool then there would be more room.The management do not enforce their own rules!
Towels left on sunbeds to reserve them, should not be allowed!
Staff and cleaners (8) Very good.
Location (8) Close to bars and shops and only 500 metres from the beach.
Beach (7)Lavante beach is lovely and sandy but there are rocks as you get into the water, although they are flat and smooth, you still need to be careful.
All in all the Regente, given that it is only 2* is a pretty good hotel, although there are areas that could be improved, such as additional lifts, better entertainment etc. Very hot all the time we were there!

Just returned from the hotel Regente and will not be returning.
The hotel is adequate but the clientele leave a lot to be desired. The walls are thin and practically everyone who stays there are inconsiderate morons who go out to get stoned and then come back at 3 to wake everyone else up. If not they will bang the doors and drag the chairs just in case your are still asleep. We had sick in the corridors and enough smoke to take a couple of weeks off our lives through passive smoking.
The resort is dirty, crowded and overpriced. The only thing they keep cheap is the alcohol for obvious reasons. Our room smelled stale although I cant fault the maid she was pleasant and cleaned our room everyday.
The food was OK and the restaurant clean. The pool is far too small for the amount of guests and we never managed to get a bed. I didnt care anyway because the guests were awful anyway. If you like Benidorm then you will go and enjoy yourselves here anyway - for anyone else I wouldnt recommend either the resort or the hotel if this is the only break you get a year. You will need a week to get over the lack of sleep and Benidorm is definately like the other reviewer said -"Chav City".

After reading reviews of this hotel we were looking forward to our stay.
We arrived in the middle of the night and went straight to Hoxtons bar across the road, 1 euro a pint, brill. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful but the other holiday makers left a lot to be desired, chav city.Think most people were on the "Fag Run". The entertainment was rubbish to non excistent so we ventured out to the centre most nights but the Hawaiin Party night was good. Food was dull and boring and happy hour was not well advertised.Maid service was excellent.
The hotel walls must have been made of cardboard as we could here our neighbours whispering!!! We will not be staying here again.
On the plus side Benidorm is great with loads to do. Would recomend Aqualandia, Mundomar, Medieaval Night and the Algar waterfalls(if you are paying by credit card take some form of identification with you) and for those of you with small children go and see Phil the clown at Don Pancho's bar.
In all we had a great hoilday but were let down by the accomodation, which I would not give it 2 star rating, maybe 1+

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Regente, weather was very hot.The hotel was clean and well kept as were the pool, no rush for the sun beds. Food was good, staff were polite, room was tight with 4 beds but we've paid a lot more and had less space, overall the hotel beats many of the 3+ hotels we've stayed in, we will certainly return in a few years time, and would recommend the Regente. Claire and Karrie who run the kids club were great the children loved them and they waved them off as we left. Levante beach is clean sunbeds and umborellas 3 euros each many bars doing 1 - 1.5 euros a pint.

I went to benidorm with my little boy in may and the weather was boiling hot every day.
the beach was lovely, and had plenty of things to do even for the kids on the beach. Went to mundomar (the dolphin park) was impressed, although everything was up steep paths, so abit of a pain with the pushchair, spent all day there as there was plenty to see. I was going to go to teira naturra, and thought it would be cheaper to get there myself, i was wrong, it was 20 euros to get in and 11 each way in the taxi, and the hotel excursion was only 20 euros, so hotel excursions on occasions can be cheaper, do your research first, as mundomar was cheaper organizing it myself.
the hotel was very good for a 2 star, i was suprised, they had a playground for kids, and a great pool aswell as a adult pool, if you have seen this hotel in the brochure they have changed the pool its not rectangular as it is in the brochure.
Anyway to sum up had a really nice holiday, great weather, a safe place to go on your own or with kids. have a nice time.

Just returned after a week in this hotel. Can't say anything about the pool or the entertainment as we prefer to go to the beach and the town pubs.
I would recommend this hotel to others.
Rooms really clean, friendly staff and excellent food.
Only problem we had was the 11 hour delay at the start of the holiday for which we were offered no explanation until we boarded the plane. In effect we lost a whole day of the holiday as we didn't arrive at the hotel until 1am when we expected to be there by 2pm at the latest.
Tempers were short and lets just say that it wasn't a romantic start to OUR holiday !!!!

rep at the hotel we waited in in Manchester was
incompetent and rude.....obviously unable to deal with the situation.
Their rep in the hotel Regente wasn't much better either when I asked
her a civil question about the pick up from the hotel, she looked at me
like I had learning difficulties tossed her ponytail and spoke to me
slowly in words of one syllable.
Then on the return journey there was no milk on the plane to have a cup of tea or coffee.
Were we just unlucky with this holiday?? I don't feel like I want to
go with Thomson Holidays
again.

I went to the Hotel Regente for two weeks in March (i come back in april).
The hotel is pleasant, the staff are wonderful especially the waitress that works around the bar area of the hotel, her name is Kerrie and she is such a sweet little thing, a lovely personality.
The hotel itself should be a 3 or 4 star hotel, everyone is so helpful, the food is lovely, all my family enjoy it.
The surrounding area is also good because if you did not want to stay in the hotel one nite you could just cross over the road and hit out at one of the bars (the hoxton is the best cause i do karoke in there). They have also a kebab shop next door to the hotel as well which is lovely .
If you wanted to go nite clubbing and needed a cab back you could easily find a cab and it is cheap as well( be careful though they do try to con u the cabs should be 3 euros roughly)

We went to the Regente in March this year and the food was good although no childrens menu so if you have children who are not up for trying new things then you are pretty much stuck with chips for them. There was a gala dinner every friday where you received free bubbly and the food was lovely.
The rooms were very clean,although a bit small for 3 people but if you are only using it to sleep in as we did then its fine :).
The Entertainment was absolutely awful (3rd rate singers) with nothing going on for the children. If you do have kids then Panchos Bar is a must,this is the home of Phil The Clown who entertains them for over 2 hours with games,dances etc and as an added bonus there is happy hour from 8.30 til 10.00! also after Phil there is Lady Misteeque who is a hypnotist. Her show is clean so kids can watch too and its really entertaining.The Bar also has an arcade and internet cafe attached to it so caters for all needs.
All in all we had a great holiday and would go back although not to the same hotel as lack of kids stuff. Also at mealtimes be prepared for a long wait for the lifts or walk down as there are only 2 in the hotel and it does take ages to get one then.The hotel is in a good central location for the beach,shops,mundomar etc.

hello, i thought that this hotel was outstanding and above average with smart furniture and suitable facilities to suit every need. the pool was loverly and had a fun jacqueeze, the poolside bar had excellent service, the sunlounges wer unlimited and was enough to go round and the safety was gr8 and secure. we ate in the resturuant every meal time and loved it more and more, the food was spectacular and above what we expected, we were waited on and could help ourselves to what we liked. the food was very tasty and was never a fault with it and the waietrs and staff were very friendly indeed.
overall this was a brill hotel and was highly above the average rating :)

The Regente was booked last minute, The hotel looked good from the outside all be it set a good 20 minutes from the centre of Benidorme,it was clean the maid service was exceptional clean towels every day.
But if you are expecting a three star hotel this is not in my opinion upto a three star standed the rep actually said it was the lowest rating of a three star and they were trying to improve it.
Entertainment was awful unless you were deaf probablt lucky if you were .the pool area was dangerous all the paving was loose and unsteady.food was basic with a choice usually cold if you never went down first my partner was ill for 2 days so were a few others when we went.if you are expecting a 2 star then you are getting value for money if you are expecting a 3 star go somewhere like RIO PARK OR THE AMBASSIDER HOTELthese are definetly three star not the lower rating three star whatever that is.As for the resort now I know why there is a lot of shoe shops if you like walking then its for you there is loads of entertainment but the walking kills you.

the hotel was very clean, very nice & all the staff were very pleasant. the food was first class, nice pool & area, the rooms were reasonable size, with the maid cleaning them everyday (I did give her a good tip, as she deserved it) I thought happy hour was a bit lame. The bar shuts at 1:30am, and soon as the clock strikes, you are out!! the lifts are a little slow, nothing like the bar/pool bar & dining room service (very efficent)
Richard, the rep, he was very helpfull, knew everything we wanted to know & he was always around if you needed him. We hired a fridge for the 2 weeks duration, which I felt that we really needed it 56 euro.
The aqua park & mundomar are 15 minutes walk away, just around the corner. The hotel does have air conditioning in the bedrooms, and the other main rooms.
You will need to get up early and reserve a sun lounger if you require on, as they go very quickly. The pool is a fair size, but some of the paving slabs are loose which is only a problem if your sun lounger is balanced on one, then soon as someone walks on it.....just make sure you are not having a drink at the time.
I can't comment on the entertainment as we used to go futher afield (white horse) most of the time.
Overall the regente is a fantastic hotel, but, now for the negatives...
You have to buy a drink at dinner time, if you want one.
You know when the person above is moving their bed or chair.

Happy hour is just 1 hour and only 3 days a week.
Would I go back there.........oh yes.

Do go to the hotel Bali in the old town, well worth it (take camera)

The Hotel accomodation was amazing and was kept very clean, each room has a tv, aircon and a balcony and are cleaned almost every day, although the entertainment is little to be desired the hotel has friendly staff especially pablo the barman who works on the outside poolbar.
The pool is a little small but is again kept very clean, there is a little rush in a morning for sunbeds but the staff at the hotel dont let you get out till 8:30 and advantage to prevent all the sunbed huggers. There is a game room which has numerous games for the kiddies to play on, my only complaint about this is that you have to leave a ten euro deposit for the pool cues on top of a 1 euro fifty playing fee.
All in all i would reccomend this hotel to any one. p.s. there is a cracking british bar dirctly out of the back gate called the union jack (1 euro a pint ;))

The Regente hotel is a clean and welcoming hotel just a short walk from the beach and all the Benidorm beach-front life and amenities.
We think all rooms have a balcony, colour TV and air conditioning; the TV we didn't need, the air con we did and it was most welcome - even in mid September! A decent sized bright and clean en-suite bathroom too.
We stopped half board and thought the food was very good indeed, as was it's presentation. Although a two star hotel, we were told this would be uprated to three stars following recent improvements.
As can be expected in Benidorm, local bars (also serving cheap snacks) and restaurants are so plentiful you need never go to the same place twice nor get bored there is so much to see. The Regente hotel is a good place for families and the small shallow pool looks particuarly safe for toddlers, and the usual hotel entertainment in the evenings is OK for Mum and Dad too if you don't want to stray far.
Can be noisy late at night if neighbours in adjacent rooms are inconsiderate.
We'd go again.
