My/Our Holiday Review:

Please ensure when booking these apartments that you emphasise that you want a 1 bedroom apt! The studios were so small we had to re-arrange the furniture in order to get our cases in. On the other hand, the studios on the other side of the corridor were double the size. I think we were very unlucky!

Rooms are cleaned whenever they feel like it with a dirty stinky mop, so your room stinks after words. Bed sheets are changed weekly. On 7 occassions (in 2 wks) we had no water to get washed at night and had to wait about for hours before we could get out and about! The only really good thing about these apartments is the pool. It is clean and serves reasonably tasty snacks and drinks! There is a great Steak House just down stairs which is v cheap and tasty!

The pubs/clubs/restaurants in Kavos definitely varied! Barn was grt - e20 for 2 hours of drink all you want!!!! WOOHOO! Can't actually remember getting home that night! Bonkers was the most amusing with loads of really drunk people acting v strange! Wot a laugh! Trinity was the best nightclub with different stuff on each night!

Overall, I wouldn't advise anyone to go to Kavos. It smells and is v dirty!

IF YOU HAVE TO GO THEN YOU MUST TRY THE CRAZY SPEED BOAT, IT IS THE BEST EXCURSION AND WILL GET YOUR ADRENILINE PUMPING! THIS IS NOT SOLD FROM YOUR REP BUT AT THE BEACH FOR e28! EXCELLENT!

My/Our Holiday Review:

These studios were actually not that bad for 18-30, reasonable size room and bathroom (which was a typical greek one!). We had a studio overlooking the pool so can't complain! Apart from the fact that our shower leaked and it went right out into the room under the door!!!!I am suprised none of us or our guests fell flat on our arses!!The location was good as it was at the end of the strip a little quieter! Well...the rep mark was cool and funny, all reps were friendly! Although the owner(i think that was who he was) would come out and shout at you if you made noise or jumped in the pool in the early morning!(That being when we got in between 6-8am!)He did threaten to throw us out at one point but he couldn't by law aparently the rep said! Loads of lively people in both the resort and studios!

Bars and pubs were all good! They have a mixture of music which is good! Rolling stone was indie and cheese! We spent most our time there! Only they had to keep turning the music down when the police went past, and they didn't always have the back room open!!

The Barn was another good place at the same end as the kalimera! Lush breakfasts and good value for money!

We went for one week and loved it! Even though there was a wet n windy nite to which we lost all electricity but it was a laugh! Kavos is great for young people as its mostly 18-30 anyway go there for lazy days and wild nights cos thats what you will get even in sept- with the right people anyway!!!!!

Hey there, stayed in kalimera rooms in august 2005 and believe me it is the proper bronx, the rooms were a total dive! it was still a mint holiday though. When you go with club18-30 you can't really expect anythin better. 5 lasses went in total and there was me and 1 lass in one room and the other 3 in another room.

Our rooms were mingin. walked in to find 2 beds nearly touching the floor and a tiny mini fridge. bathroom on the right with a beasty cockroach there waiting for us, oh and a lizard .lovely!! balcony at the back that was all green metaL railings, not very slightly. Oh yes am guessing there are a few club1830 hotels nearby aswel as we had to listen to everyone elses bedroom antics every night aswel if you know wot i mean. Not trying to put a downer on your whole holiday coz we all had a mint time, its only somewhere to lay your head down at the end of a wicked night. the bars are right on your doorstep, walk a little bit further down the strip and the bars and clubs get better.

My/Our Holiday Review:

Kalimera studios were clean and the pool area was nice.

The snack bar does nice ham n cheese toasties too. The music by the pool's a bit dry though - this is coming from a Hard House fan. So we went across to the pool over the road which is pumpin'. Kavos overall was wkd, the booze was cheap and the music was loud. We met half of the So Solid crew while we were out there - they were well down to earth. We also met Mickey from Eastenders in Empire! we went to the water park on a trip for the day, and we hada really good time, I'd definitely suggest going there if you're going to Kavos.

The best club I'd say is the one where Trinity visits - can't remember the name of it, but it back onto a nice bar set on the beach where you can chill n watch the sun come up. Limelight is good too, we went to a Soul Food event there which I rated.. Though I wouldn't suggest going in the pool there! Crash bar is wkd and there's the fittest guy that works there, mmm! The MC Simon Sez is cute too! Roadblock and Traffic were good bars too.

Oh yeah and the weather was fab for the whole two weeks, like in the 90's! I think I'd like to go back, we met some well fruity people, lots of random missions in the early hours! 'ELLO MATE!

Kalimera apartments were bed and breakfast that dont serve bed and breakfast unles you get up at 10 am were you are given a piece of toast and a glass of orange juice. The rooms were WAY to basic, and there was a huge crack in our balcony window which didnt shut properly. one of the lights in our rooom didnt work, the bathroom was minging but you expect that from greece anyway and the plug socket was hanging from the wall.

Kavos nightlife is definatly not all its cracked up to be and 18-30s are a RIP OFF, NEVER EVER GO 18-30's its such a rip off! KAvos stinks of various disgusting things night and day. The Bar staff will do anythin to get you in the bars, the deals they offer you are a rip off aswell.

My/Our Holiday Review:

My boyfriend and I went on holiday to Kavos last year and had a great time.

We were really surprised by the mix of amenities available. For example, there are loads of great bars, fantastic restaurants (so it's not mcdonalds for tea every night) and a bit of something for everyone really. Go to JC's, it is a bar split in 2 by a side street (quite close to Legends) and speak to Brad, one of the nicest blokes we have ever met. If you're a regular he'll have your drink waiting on the bar when he see's you walking down the street, and he has recipes for shots and cocktails in his head that will either knock you on your arse or sort you out if you feel a bit sickly or have the hiccups, just let him know what you want. He also may have a slight obsessive compulsive cleaning disorder because his bar is spotless.

The beach in Kavos is not great, but we prefer to go around the pool anyway and if you hire a car and drive up the coast a bit you can find some beautiful deserted beaches so don't let it put you off.

If you want to go to quieter bars you can, if you go into the main strip and you don't want to get carried into a bar by someone offering you a watered down shot, walk straight at them but don't make eye contact, whatever you do don't make conversation. It works a treat.

Now on to Kalypso apartments. Firstly, when we booked we were told they were 3 star. I think the 3 stars were for the pool. It was lovely, however, even if you are staying at the apartments you will have to buy food ( not bad, not great) and drinks or you will be charged for the sunbed. Watch out for the wasps nest above the bar, they dive bomb you when you're in the pool.

The room however was not great. We are used to staying in apartments where you do not expect luxury. The year before we went to the Blue Waves in Faliraki which were much more basic but we had a great time and no complaints because the maid came in every day, cleaned thoroughly (sang to us although we didn't know what she was saying) and was very friendly as were all other staff, they could not do enough for you. So we aren't snobs who expect the world. We do however expect to not to be snarled at by the cleaning lady (on the mornings she decided to stroll in) because we don't want to get up at 9:00 on our only holiday of the year.

The toilet bin (you'll know what I mean if you've ever stayed in Greece before) was only emptied 3 or 4 times in our stay and even then not the bin bag only the contents, it can get a bit ripe in that kind of heat and the bedding was only changed once a week. They only give you one loo roll to last a fortnight and i was sick of fighting off the ants with a flip flop.

The real problem was at the end of the holiday. The owner will try to squeeze every last euro you have left out of you when he knows you're leaving. We left the apartment at noon but our flight was not til 4 the next morning and there is no reception or place to leave your bags, so we were going to leave them in another couples room who we had met when we were there, for safety. When he saw us carrying them down he said we would have to pay 20 euro if we wanted to leave them in another room so we had to leave them by the side of the pool all day. When we spoke to the rep he didn't really help us. Anyway the staff at JC's bar offered to store the bags safely for us and even bought us a drink on the house when we left.

In short, do go to Kavos, don't stay at Kalypso unless you like cleaning, sweaty sheets and red ants and do call in to see Brad at JC's.

My/Our Holiday Review:

The holiday company that I booked through did not offer transfers so I hired a car.

After spending 2 hours looking for the block of appartments, a taxi driver gave me directions down a very narrow lane.

I finally arrived at about 5pm, to find the place deserted. There were obviously people staying there, but there wasn't anyone around. After much searching I couldn't find a reception area or any staff, so I walked to the nearest supermarket where I asked the shop assistant how I could get into the block of appartments. She said that the cleaner/receptionist only worked mornings and that there was nobody else available to check me in.

This is something that I have never come across before.

So my advice is that if you are booking as an independant traveller, then make sure that you are there before 12pm to get a chance to book in. Do not drive as there is NOWHERE to park your car.

As for what its like inside who knows!!

I ended up staying in the Cavo Bianco down the road!!

Walked out of these apartments as soon as we arrived. In our opinion this accomodation is NOT suitable for families and the apartments were poorly equipped and very shabby. The 'beach' consisted of rocks piled high with seaweed and a few empty beer bottles. Nobody was staying at the place and it looked deserted. We soon realised why!

Take our advice and book elsewhere.

Hi all

Just come back from Kavos and weve been at Kamini. The rooms are clean, sapacious and all of them have a wonderful views of the sea (amazing sunsets). This is my second time at Kavos and I recommend to go there to everyone who wants quiet and sunny days and crazy and wicked nights.

To have lunch or dinner for us the best option is the "Village Taberna". They have greek dishes, mexican dishes as well as english dishes. About the nightlife to start the night I recommend you the "Forum Bar" (karaoke) with Tommy Pollyfilla like DJ and MC and the nice Yannis (the owner). After of this "Rocky´s Bar" (great staff), "Buzz" and "42nd St". To finish the night i think the best option is the "Futures"

Greetings from Spain

My/Our Holiday Review:

Came here for 2wks at the end of July. Found the appartments to be pretty basic, for a Club18-30 holiday. Only thing we didnt like was that the appartment never got cleaned, we had to complain to our rep to get it cleaned (not very good when toilet paper cant be out in toilet)

We found the reps to be really good, didnt push you too much into going on their trips, we done the foam party, water park & the cabaret which is a must. We found that you could basically just tag along on the bar crawls and get your drink for free without haveing to pay the 35euros. Our rep (what can i say but very tasty indeed) Jay, was great, always up for a laugh, always came across to speak to you. The other rep Princy was great to get on with too.

The nightlife was great, the hotel is right at the Barn Complex, which is a great way to start your crawl along the strip. Some PR's can be a bit pushy but otherwise their up for a good time, apart from when they put you on their shoulders and carry you into thier bars (not good when wearing a short skirt. The only downside we had was whenever the police drove past the music had to be cut out, not good when your just getting into a bit of dancing. If I ever hear Poison, by Groove Coverage, it will be too soon, it seems to get played everywhere you.

We mostly ate at the Barn Complex, which did great breakfast, and sandwiches, always to hungover to venture anywhere else. You have you McDonalds, Pizza Hut.

Beach was very clean, apart from the water being full of seaweed at the start. You had the guy selling sexy doughnuts, which was funny.

I would def recommend this appartment for a group of mates going on holiday, we willl def be back

My/Our Holiday Review:

Went to Kavos 20th - 28th June 05. Weather was great, the accomodation was lovely! I was expecting a tiny room from the reviews but we had two massive rooms with good size balconies looking over the pool (which was v.nice also!). The apartments are in a quiet area, great for curing hangovers. Only problem being, the apartments hardly get cleaned. Infact...never! As for the resort...it was a bit of a dump but the place scrubed up nicely. I was expecting the beach to be terrible but it was really nice. The sea was so clear and although there was a little seaweed, it didn't spoil it!

The food in Kavos is average however I loved Desperados the mex steak house and the best english breakfast ever....Uncle Harrys round the corner from 'The Barn'. Pubs I'd recommend are The Barn, Edelweis, Crash Bar, Buzz, Empire, 42nd Street, Future, Atlantis and Heaven. Has to be the best pub crawl from Kaparis.

Didn't do any club 18-30 activities but tagged along on the pub crawl with them (as if I'd pay 35euro when I can follow for free). The reps were great...didn't hastle you at all. We arranged our own trips...one to the blue lagoon which was an ok day out and another to Corfu town by night which again was ok..nothing special.

All in all a very good holiday!

Well wot can i say we had a the BEST time eva. We had a HUGE appartment which was basic but great. The reps were GREAT always there for us really understanding they DID NOT push us in to buying any of the trips.

The nightlife was great very cheap it was 2 drinks for 5euros in most places free shots in most places aswell. The swimming pool was good very clean. It was very hot aswell we had sun all the time.

Everyone who worked out there were really friendly and made you feel very welcome. It was defo a place for people to go who love to party and get drunk. I would not recommend it for the more mature person.

WE WILL DEFO BE BE GOING BACK NEXT YEAR. :)

My/Our Holiday Review:

Me and 2 of my mates went to kavos for a girly holiday in september. The weather was fantastic, really hot, sunny days every day until the last two and we went for a fortnight. We arrived in the afternoon and we stayed in a studio room with 3 beds and that was a small kitchen (worktop, sink and hob) a tiny bathroom (toilet, shower and sink) and a room with 3 beds squashed together. There was not even enough room to put a leg between the beds so you had to climb over the other two beds to get in the end one! In greece you wont find shower curtains so havin a shower is quite messy and water gets everywhere.

We got ready to go out on the first night and the prs are unbelieveable!! if you dont want to go in their bar they will pick you up and put you in there or if you walk past them they will swear at you! we had a laugh the first night anyways and by the time we got in we were all really tired after the flight and long day so managed to sleep without any disturbances. The next night however was different, if you wernt tired there was no way you could sleep with the music from the barn complex which is attatched to the apartments, its so loud and the walls are so thin you can hear everything, you seriously need to down a bottle of vodka to sleep! Also at about 4am more people coming home from clubs will wake you up even if they are not trying to be noisy all they have to do it talk and you can hear them from in your room.

18-30 was a rip off too, we were not expecting luxary with regards to the accommodation as we paid for what we got basically but as soon as you arrive they try to sell you all their excursions at a price that seems ok until you have had a look at how much they can offer it for down the road in an excusion shop thing. We had already decided we didnt want the whole package before we went out and at 210 euros we were glad we didnt. We ended up just doing two bar crawls, a day at the aquapark and a school disco with 18-30 but still didnt think they were worth the 127 euros we paid. If you are going with 18 30 I would recommend that you don't buy the trips with them and shop around you can find them cheaper.

Kavos is great if all you want to do is drink a lot every night and sleep in the day! The beach is not too nice either really though we did spend one day there and the sea is really warm though i wouldnt swim in it!

The accommodation does have eveything you need in one place as the barn complex has a shop selling the essentials and a bar which shows football on the weekends and films in the week and plenty of re runs of friends. There are loads of bars that show friends in the day and will show films that have just been released over here on dvd.

Bars i would recommed would be bonkers, pleasures cocktails, the london bar and atlantis. Restaurants that we liked were the jolly chef, uncle harrys and obviously you have still got kfc and mcdonalds too and theres loads of traditional british restaurants aswell as places to eat greek food if you want to.

I found kavos to be quite expensive when it came to nights out and you can easily spend 70 80 euros in a night depending on what you drink! It was a good laugh though and the smell really isnt that bad as long as you dont go outside too early cos the truck comes to suck the sewage out of the drains and its not nice at all!

If you fancy Kavos but still want sleep at night I would recommend that you go to the top of the strip cos you will still be close to eveything but a bit further away from the noise in order to sleep!

My/Our Holiday Review:

When we got to Kavos we all didnt know what to expect but my first impressions were more shanty town with a mc donalds stuck in than anything else. I wasnt put off and was determined to make the most of my holiday with all my friends.

The accomadation was extremely basic with there not being enough room for the 3of us in a studio. We got used to the kitchen and there being no shower curtain. After all that we decided our first night out would be great.

When we gor back to our apartments one of the apartments had been broken in to. Itwas obviously an inside job as there were no signs of forced entry. Money, phones and aftershave were stolen. This was obvious when the next week a groud of 12 girls got their room broken into and all their phones stolen. A group of boys were also victims getting more than 1,000 stolen. What made it even worse that the reception was only opened to 6pm si if you arrive later than this you are a but stranded.

TO make matters worse the reps did not take us seriously as we were all a bit drunken. So off to the police we went and even had to pay for them to stamp the statement.

The nightlife in Kavos is even that good compared to magaluf where we had been the year before. The drinks were quite expensive but we did find some good bargain watering holes.

You must go to the Steak HOuse the steaks are amazing, also Great Britain restaurant as well.

Dont do the Club 18-30 stuff it was a complete rip off. Some of our friends did do it and it turned out we could go to the exact same places, we just didn't get a few free shots. If you do get the chance go to the foam party held outside at Futures with a one hour free bar. It was the best night of the full holiday and well worth the 50euros just for the drink itself and the free t-shirt that everyone had a fascination of ripping to shreds.

Dont go to these apartments if you can help it!

KAVOS IS AWESOME!!!

After a long flight then the bumpy bus ride we finally arrived in Kavos. At half 5 it was still jumpin. The hotel itself was, well lets say BASIC! It is however the ideal location for the beach, supermarkets, clubs and most importantly the talent! The drink is cheap as chips - 4 for 1 on most drinks, and they are not shy with the measures. Our favourite places were the Barn, (usually first drop off), the Empire Bar and the Venue, usually followed by hot wings and a coke from the KFC opposite. Our highlight of the holiday had to be ....... THE CLEANER!!! The only english she spoke was "MESS GIRLS MESS!!!"

All in all the holiday was great. We only done the Foam Party with club 18-30 but thought it was a bit of a waste of money. We found everything reasonably cheap spending about £350 in a week, including eating out and getting plastered every night. We recommend the Venue as the place to go, and for eating definitly the steak house. We will definitly be back.

The Katerina apartments were a complete nightmare.

Our room was broken into on our first night there- all of our money was stolen, my passport, our mobile phones and clothes were stolen too. These apartments do not offer safety deposit boxes and there is no reception area so the place is hardly secure. On finding that our room had been robbed, the owner of the place was very unhelpful as was our rep and the police. I have never before wanted to come home early from a holiday, however if i had a passport to leave the country i would have left on that first night.

Besides the robbery, Kavos wasnt too bad, it was hard to see the good side of things especially since we had to wait on my parents sending some cash across so we could eat and pay for passports. I would seriously advise anyone thinking of going to these apartments not too- they arnt safe and on top of everything they arent clean. Kavos is a place for younger teenagers on thier first holiday.

At the moment we are still waiting to hear back from our insurance company

What can I say! There were fleas in the beds, We asked for a change of bed linnen, The beds only get changed once a week! There was only a small hand towel, that had to last you a week! And it was a dirty shade of white! There are no safes in the rooms, No reception!Keys are left in the doors for anybody to copy!

Patio doors are not sercure, hence we were robbed on our second night! The owner wasn't helpful at all. He wouldn't phone the police. Seems the same thing had happened the week before we got there! His beer is very expensive. He wont let you dive in the pool or have lilos in. You also have to pay for your sun lounger daily £2 euros.

The beach down the road at Socreties bar is great! Showers there to use. There food is great too. Michaels next door is excellent, went for breakfast each day. Also seducies bar. He does magic tricks. Also pauls bar has free pool tables and he makes you feel very welcome. IF you go on any boat trips a must is the Blue Lagoon, they do a beach BBQ and it is not to be missed.

Kavos was chaotic, exciting and one of the best holiday's I have ever had!

The night life is fantastic, plenty of bars and clubs and some lovely restaurants aswell.

Just a tip but start your nights at 'Beetle Bar' on the left hand side about 200m in. Costas and Spiros are lovely and don't foget to try 'Beetle Juice' - green but fantastic!

Other good bars include 'Sammy's' and 'Rolling Stone' and '24 Hour Beach Bar'(to have a drink and watch teh sun come up!)

Katerina Studios was basic but clean. Pool was lovely and Bill the owner was really helpful and friendly.

Michaels restaurant next door serves up the best food in the whole of Kavos.

All in all it was a fantastic two weeks holiday - but be warned Kavos is not for the faint hearted, those of a nervous disposition, families and more mature people !!!!

Kavos Beach isn't up to much but go to nearby Lefkimi, turn right before teh bridge, brings you out to one of the nicest beaches in Corfu

Apartments were basic but clean, the owner Bill was lovely and very friendly, always at hand to help and even gave us free crisps and let us watch whatever we wanted on TV at the pool bar!! Pool itself was very clean and a lovely place to relax on a daytime. Michael's restaurant next door to the Katerina apartments is one of the best places to eat in Kavos by far so well worth a visit.

The walk into Kavos itself is about 10-15 mins and does get a bit annoying as there are no paths so you have to just walk on the side of the road and try to avoid getting hit by a bus or moped! Beach isn't nice at all but we didn't go there for the beach so weren't too fussy.

Bars are excellent - we loved JCs (try the dentists chair and a headf**ker cocktail!!), Toffs, Players Lounge, The Barn and Rolling Stone. Also Futures & Atlantis are great for clubbing

Mosquitos are also a problem, we did buy a plug in and wear repellent but it didn't really work and i had bites all over my arms and legs - argh!! but it is a hot country so theres no getting away from it really is there!

Would def stay in Katerina again as the owner was so lovely and it was nice to be away from all the noise of the main strip - all in all a great week!

My/Our Holiday Review:

My god - We sooo wish that we ckecked reviws on this hotel before booking. I can honestly say that I dont think I have ever stayed anywhere like it ever in my life.

On arrival (very early hours), we thought that we had struck gold as we were close to all the bars, the pool area seemed ok and the rooms that we had were a great size, an ajoining balcony to our friends appartment and seemed quite clean so first impressions were great.

Over the next week our impression soon changed. Cleaning lady was very nice, although you could see that she was just doing as she had been told to do as when asked for clean sheets she was very uncomfortable in saying that she wasnt aloud to give us any.

The owners and other staff - Boy what a scary lot!

REPS - What reps is all that can be said - There was a notice to say that they would be in the hotel on given days and at paticular times, I am aware that other holiday makers waiting to catch them to no avail and wouldnt be surprise me if major complaints were made there. One woman had specifically requested a baby cot for her todler to sleep in and it wasnt there when they arrived, almost 4 days after there arrival and several phone calls to the offices and waiting for the reps to turn up there was still nothing!

Kavos as n the place - We had a brilliant time, it was cheep, firndly and everything we wanted it to be - Other than the holiday!

My Adbise - If your booking a holiday last minute and they give you details for this hotel or this holiday company, steer well clear - Customer service isnt something that come naturally to either of them.

My/Our Holiday Review:

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for! We booked a girls holiday for 2 weeks for under £200! The Kavos hotel is not a hotel.

We were sensible and had 2 to a room, so we had 2 rooms. One night after a few drinks we went to our room, put the key in the door and walked in. Nope, not our room. The key that you are given opens all the rooms along your corridor if not all the rooms in the hotel!! Don't leave any money etc. in the room.

We were lucky with the owners. We stayed out of their way (ie ran every time we saw them).

There's no air conditioning, so rent the fans!! The rooms are basic. We wne t after reading the reviews on this website so were expecting the worse, so we didn't get too many nasty surprises.

Golden Sun are non existent. We saw our rep only once, wo told us that we were staying in falty towers and to get on with it.

Other than the accommodation kavos is alright. The nightlife is good and even better after you have had a few of JC's cocktails. My favourite bar was underground, which plays Rn B music. Atlantis is a really good night out as well!!

Go to Kavos if your looking for a good nightlife and a good suntan. But if you want a average hotel steer clear of Kavos Hotel. Although it was good for a laugh, I won't be going anywhere near it again.

Just got back from Kavos Plaza and we had a fantastic time. The staff are wicked and really friendly. Dina makes everyone feel so welcome, Jenny and Soc's the bar staff are always helpful, loved Jennys coffee when had a hangover (every morning). Its all close enough to the bars but far enough away.

Our rep was Darren, who is by far one of the best reps I have ever met. hes funny and friendlky and extremely rude but its just amde me laugh.

The rooms are a good size and the pool is great. Only problem with the place is the bleeding ROOSTER - wanted to strangle that bldy thing...

I would recommend this as the only place to stay in Kavos - I wouldnt go anywhere else. *****

My/Our Holiday Review:

Myself and the lads stayed at the Kavos Plaza Studio Apartments between 20 Jun 06 to 27 Jun 06. We are all in our thirties and have stayed in many resorts around the world between us.

We have never received such a good welcome as we got at the Plaza Studios. The owner Dina welcomes you herself every time and says shes going to be your mother for a week. After we'd dumped our stuff, she bought us all cocktails at the pool bar. As stated by previous reviews the bar staff are fantastic. There is an English lady called Jenny, who is extremely fun and friendly. Vangelles, who is the local lady charmer. Plus of course the body of an angel that is Angela. Something for everyone! Wide selection of drinks and food served. The bar stays open till 5am.Food served all day by the pool side, with funky club tunes gently pulsating in the background.

The location is perfect. A 3 minute walk from the beach and all the nightlife. Just far away enough if you do want a quiet night. Be aware that all the bars have to shut off their music after 0100am. Due to new laws. The bars do stay open though till about 0500am. If you want more music there is a choice of about 6 clubs to go to.

The freestyle reps are fantastic. Especially wee Tommy, who makes every effort to make your holiday great. (Check out his girlfriend Natalie too!). There are loads of excursions arranged. I can recommend the 2 bar crawls, and the Trinity night. Dina lays on 2 special nights at the Plaza Studios. Greek night and BBQ night. Both are well worth it as the food is fantastic and the beer is flowing. Nearly everyone at the apartments attended both nights then hit the clubs afterwards.

It's definately an accomodation for party go'ers. There a few young couples that still had a great time with us, but all in all I would say it's more of a singles place. As I said before, "Something For Everyone"!!!

We stayed in Kavos Plaza for a week but it was the best week ever!We had never been on a freestyle holiday before so we didnt know quite what to expect but it certainly lived up to our expectations! It wasnt to in your face like 18-30's.The accomadation was really nice very basic but that was fine as we hardly were in the room! The food at the hotel was lovely really cheap!!Try the "Brits Brekie" very, very nice after a heavy night of drinking! All the staff were very friendly which was nice

I dont think i have anything bad to say about the hotel only bad thing i can think of is the roosters!!Every morning all you could hear where them. They drove me mad. They didnt stop at all.Even at night! My best advice would be to take some ear plugs! Also people had told me that you can smell the sewage really bad.Well as soon as we had landed i couldnt smell anything! And i was very sober!Oh yeah forgot make sure you take some toilet roll or be expected to buy some when your out there!Only got 2 then you have to get your own!

Overall Kavos as a whole was amazing. We met some really nice people had a fab time im booking to go back in September!

My/Our Holiday Review:

Hi ya holiday makers!

I've been back two days and missing it already. I stayed at the Kavos Plaza in Corfu. I will admit then when I first booked to go to Kavos I was a bit concerned from all the press coverage it gets but im sure you'll have a blast - i definatly did!!!!

The Kavos Plaza in about a 10 minute walk from the start of the strip. I can promise you that you will never make it into every bar on the strip in a weeks holiday. The majority of people start their night in The Barn which is a massive bar in the centre with DJ Lewis in the House. He plays wicked tunes all night and has everyone up dancing. My fav bars/clubs were Buzz Bar,Rockys, Rolling Stone, Empire, Splash, Trinity and Club Sex!

The reps were absolutly amazing especially John aka Only takes a minute girl and Chris aka The Virgin! They were our reps. Everyone we travelled with decided to buy the block pass which guarantees you a great holiday. believe it or not the reps do get one day off but they decide to join you on a bar crawl anyway. They are always on hand to show you a new party trick or drinking game. I thought I knew all the drinking games invented but I can ensure you they have plenty more...

if you're looking for a quieter holiday then the Aqua park is the place for you, it has something for everyone. Or why not try Theo's Boat Trip - he is a ledgend in his own right! I could not believe he has been doin this for 25 years. If your up fr a laugh and want to get down and dirty then this is the place to be.

ok so the only thing to watch is your toilet cleanliness - basically you cant flush toilet paper down the loo so if you've had a big night you're F**Ked!!!!

I am definatly going back in 2006 so get your arses in gear and book the holiday of a lifetime!!!!!

John and Chris let us know where your gonna be next year cos we are following you...you rock!

Take care

Kavos is a great place to holiday! The weather is fantastic and there is plenty to do day or night whether you want a busy schedule or lazy days. Go on the excursions to the mainland and corfu town at night, go on the crazy speed boat and try the watersports - not only are they cheap but are professional and fun!

The bars are exactly what you want, full of happy people on the right vibes, endless measures and enough 3-4-1 and buy 1 get 2 shots free to keep you laughing till you drop. Watch out for the really too good to be true drink deals they're methylated spirits! The clubs were all khushty especially Future/Atlantis which backs on to the beach where you can boogie along to your favourite tunes whilst on the beach at night (which is beautifull).

The hotel was the best in Kavos and not only are the staff genuinely friendly and helpful, they're up for a laugh as much as you are and really try to put on things to fill any gaps left by the reps.

The reps had us laughing the whole time we were there; with crazy nights such as the bar crawl and jailbreak and their endless quest to bed the guests!

Pack plenty of bug spray and toilet paper and take them with you at all times ladies!!

WE'RE DEFINATELY GOING BACK NEXT YEAR!!

My/Our Holiday Review:

This was my third girls holiday and I was pleasantly suprised by the accomodation. If you have been to a young resort like Kavos before then you will probably expect what I did... A dump, but the Kavos Plaza was really nice. The air conditioning was fantastic you have to pay for it, but this was explained in the brochure and it was definitely worth every penny! The apartments were clean and well run and on the whole the owners and staff were friendly.

Kavos as a resort is much like the other Greek Islands and resorts attracting a young crowd. It did smell a bit in places, I assume due to the poor sanatation, however it wasn't too bad and only seeemed to be in certain places! The beach wasn't the nicest and the sea didnt look very clean, but if you are able to travel out of Kavos there are some lovely beaches in surrounding areas.

In the day there was a really good atmosphere at the Kavos Plaza and we enjoyed sunbathing and swimming in the pool. We made lots of friends there who we have stayed in touch with since arriving home.

There are plenty of places to eat out, our favourites including Rooftops, Desparados and McMunch for breakfasts and the hugest jacket potatoes ever! In the evenings PRs can be annoying, but if you're polite they usually leave you alone! The best bar is Crash Bar, which like the majority of bars closes at 2, then everyone heads to the clubs, some of which stay open until 7 in the morning. The best club is Future and Atantis, every 2 weeks they host a night called Trinity, if you are there for Trinity I strongly advise that you go, it's worth the 20euros!

We had an amazing 2 weeks and I would definately recommend Kavos and the Kavos Plaza!!

WICKED HOLIDAY!!!! would defo go back there and probably to the Kavos Plaza. It is such a crazy place theres always something goin on!!

We went on a freestyle holiday so we were expecting it to be wild and it was just that! constant drinking and laughing!

The hotel itself is nice. werent told we were going to have to fork out like 150 euros for air con! but its worth it! some rooms are newer than others so try get a new room they r nicer and bigger!

The reps r wiked!! up for a laugh and making sure ure hol is going great! do all the excursions they r worth it, gives you something different to do rather than just staying by the pool coz there isnt much to do durin the day.

Best places to eat are Puff the Magic Dragon, we went as recommended from this site and loved it! the steakhouse, the drunken squid. Also kfc n mcdonalds 4 wen uve had a few too many!

PR's can be a bit annoyin but its their job so ya cant really give them too much stick.

Try "red vodka" while ure there! neva heard of it in england but its now my fav drink.

If your out there for a club night called "Trinity" defo go to it. its held in future-atlantis goes on til like 7/8 in the morn well worth the money!

Kavos is such a friendly place we met soooooo many nice ppl stayin in touch with plenty of them.

Be careful of traffic, the roads cant get more than two cars on either side so its always manic in the streets can be dangerous!

Overall best holiday of my life n ive been all over! Get yourself there!!!

I think Kavos Plaza is one of the best places to stay in Kavos. Its in a perfect location, about 5 mins from the nightlife and close(ish) to the beach and shops.

Kavos itself has little to offer apart from good night life, and isnt really a family area, but its good if the nightlife is what your going for. We also had some really good meals at The Steakhouse, Puff the magic dragon and Desperados. When we visited, fairly early on in the season Kavos was clean and not too smelly, and i would strongly recommend Kavos Plaza to others.

As long as you stay in the new block, Kavos Plaza is definatly a good place to stay. The only complaint we had was that the cleaners didnt always come every day which really wasnt good enough when you have to put your poo paper in the bin. Apart from that the Plaza was brilliant.

WOW!!!! We are going back next year without doubt!! Got to be the best holiday we've ever been on!

When we arrived it was about 12 and we were shattered and hot! We were very pleased when we got into our apartment as it was very clean and right beside the pool and the bar! We got a welcome pack of drinks (cost ?6, but its worth it). Got a safety deposit box right away as we're very careful (?5 but you get it back when you hand back your key). Had food at the hotel bar and it was gorgeous. Tina, the lady who owns the apartments, is lovely! She became our Mummy for the 2 weeks! If she likes you, you get extra large drinks! We were lucky!

During the day we discovered there really isn't a lot to do, but it didn't matter as we were usually beside the pool sleeping off a hangover! The pool in the apartments was gorgeous and it was cleaned every single night (cool machine done it!) I don't really like the pool but Marian loved it (swims and drinks like a fish!) Alex who works in the apartments during the day is really lovely too! And the good thing about it is, if you have rowdy's there who annoy everyone, they are told to leave! Happened twice on us and they had to leave, peace for the rest of us!

We done a few tours - Blue Lagoon was gorgeous, could see all the wee fishes in the water! Champagne diving was fun! We went to the water park too and it rained all day! Was freezing, but really good fun and the slides are brilliant!

To eat out we pretty much went to the same 3 places! Village Taverna (big HI! to Leo and Dimistris!) which was traditional greek food and just gorgeous! And they did greek dancing and plate smashing which was fun to watch! We also went to the Courser chinese resturant which was just gorgeous and the best chinese! They did carry-out if you fancied chilling in your apartment before heading out (the supermarket across from us did a bottle of peach snapps for ?6 so it was good to do that!) Other place we ate was at the apartments cause the food was gorgeous, and so cheap!

Nightlife - excellent!! True the reps can be very annoying but if after a million times of telling them you don't want to go into their bar they will eventually leave you alone! Although, as with others, we usually got chucked over their shoulder and carried in! Best bars we went to are Edelweiss, play great up-to-date chart music, then Roadblock cause it had a pole and we are show-off's!! Hi to Greg and Alex!! We usually then ended up in London Bar which played fantastic r'n'b and hip-hop tunes! And it was great place to chill out! Miss ya Spiros and Cristos!! After we usually found we hadn't danced enough and headed to Futures to dance to about 7am which was excellent! But if you fancy a 'night-off' from partying, there are some bars that play up-to-date films (some hadn't even been released at home). Granted the quality isn't great, but it is free so it doesn't matter!

All in all value for money it was fantastic! Usually get 5 cocktails and 5 shots for about ?5 and after ?15 who have no idea who or what you are! We also got champagne chucked in for free! And when you get to know the barmen, you get the 'realy McCoy' so you get steaming quicker!!

Can't wait to get back next year!! Would recommend it to anyone who is in search of a fun-filled holiday! It may not be to everyones taste but we loved it! Long rule Kavos!

OH MY GOD! We had the best holiday ever here in Kavos!

Now we are party girls but even we had to have a few nights in we were shattered by partying so much! Tina who owned the apartments was our Mummy for the 2 weeks, she was fantastic!

The apartments were beautiful, basic but very clean and the food was gorgeous! Tina also gives very good drink measures if she likes you (we were lucky!) Best bars we went to were Edelweiss, Roadblock (cause they have a pole and we love dancing!!) and London Bar at the end of the night. When they closed we headed over to Futuras which stays open to about 7 or so and plays the most up to date music - the legs were danced off us! Best places to eat are Village Taverna (and they dance and smash plates which is fun!) and a chinese that I can't remember the name of, but it was gorgeous!! Not an awful lot to see in Kavos so any tours we did were to the Blue Lagoon (which was beautiful) and the water park and it rained all day, but great fun! Definately a holiday for young people, singles preferably!!! Oly downfall would be the mosquitos - they are terrible! Bring loads of mosquito cover and hire the fans! We loved it that much though we have booked to go back next year!! Roll on!!

My/Our Holiday Review:

Kavos is an excellent place to go on holiday - it's wild n fun and the people out there are all up for a good time. When me and my friend arrived at our hotel we were happy - the owners were friendly and compared to some of the other hotels which we passed e.g. katerina appts (which looked tiny, remote n awful) we had 1 of the best hotels. although the room was pretty simple it was clean and had everything we needed - it's not like we spent much time in there! Balconies are shared which wasn't really a problem (provided the people in the next room r quiet), sunbeds are free although you can't have any of your own food and drink round the pool it has to be bought at the hotel bar, on 1 occasion we forgot and still hungover we started to tuck into mc donalds on our sun-loungers - we were swiftly told off. The hotel is pretty much in the middle of everything - you just walk round a corner and ur on the main strip of bars. Its really close to the beach as well.

The PR people on the streets of Kavos are very annoying and harass u constantly sometimes literally pulling u into their bars - don't let them pester you - if you don't want to go into their bar or restaurant firmly say 'no'and walk past quickly at first its hard but after two weeks you will get better at it, the same goes for local people selling their own trips and cruises on the beach - its best to avoid these because ur not insured if anything goes wrong and to be honest me and my friend went out so much every night that we were constantly hung over and did'nt do any except aqua land which was ok. Be careful if you hire a moped - they are quite dangerous especially if driven when drunk - i burnt my leg on the exhaust which was painful and meant i had to avoid the hotel pool towards the end of the hol. If u do get a ped petrol is only got frm another village which is kind of far to drive to and involves going on a fairly empty but nevertheless main road. 4 sum reason there is only a chemist all the way in the other village as well.

Future, Atlantis, Snobs n Crash bar r definately the best bars n clubs to go 2. Girls in kavos arn't as bitchy as in Ayia Nappa n are actually suprisingly friendly, there are lot's of men over there which is good and the locals are approachable and nice. There is lot's of restuarants which r fairly cheap 2 eat in - you can get a three course meal for roughly abt 12 euros each wen u add on drinks - try the oven pub restaurant - its just round the corner from the konstantina appartments and the food is nice. the mexican is good for their fajitas altho wen i ordered half a cooked chicken in barbecue sauce the chicken was raw inside and i had to send it back 2 the kitchen to be properly cooked.

If u want a wild holiday with plenty of sun, sand, nightlife and fellow brits go to Kavos and u will hav fun - i did and i will seriously consider going back next year.

Block A

We arrived at the apartments about 8am after travelling all night we were glad to see a welcome pack of drinks in the fridge. It cost 6 Euros which was probably about right for what we got!

We would have a had a pool view room if the trees had have been cut, but they hadnt & were higher than our balcony on the first floor so we couldnt see the pool. The balcony is shared which isnt too bad if you have good neighbours, lucky for us a noisey bunch arrived just as we were leaving our apartment! We wasnt being picked up till 4am & we could only keep the room on untill 9pm for a cost of 20 euros, which was a bit bad considering we then had to wait around for 7hrs, They could have let us have it a bit longer. Luckily there are bars in Kavos which show films & english programmes every night till 3am so we were able to sit in there.

The pool bar is very expensive you pay 3 euros for a ribena!!! But you are not allowed to bring any other drinks around the pool. The pool is kept very clean & there are always enough sun loungers. The cleaners come about 3times a week but only change the towels & sheets once a wk!

The beds are soooooo noisy you only have to move & the whole thing creaks & shakes & on the whole are not very comfortable. All in all it was a good holiday & the apartments are basic & gd if you get the block A which is with the pool, Block B is round the corner!

Konstandina / Konstantina apts were quality! The owners were very friendly at all times. They don't appreciate naked swimming at 7 in the morning though so bare it in mind!!

The apts were very clean but basic. We were told by many that they were the best apts in Kavos and i don't doubt this. They were spot on. As for the Libra reps...... they were really friendly and helpful as well. A lot of people say that the Libra reps are useless but this wasn't the case!! Kavos was awesome! Loads of bars mainly playin RnB and hip hop. Visit Splash bar, London bar and Snobs. Venue was the best nightclub by far apart from when we saw Tim Westwood at Limelight nightclub.

Can't really tell you anything about the restaurants as we didn't really sample that many. Lived on fry up's and fast food!! There's a nice chinese opposite the Slash bar called Courser and the Indian next was decent too. I'd recommend any young holiday makers to Kavos (age 16-25)If you decide to go, try and book these apts.

we read some bad reviews on here before we left, but i have to say Kavos is the BEST holiday ive ever had! we stayed at the Konstantina and the appartments were basic but very clean. the pool is lovely and clean and theres a bar that serves food and drinks. the staff were very friendly and the reps were sound.

if its nightlife you want then this is the place for you. these appartments are situated at the quieter end of the resort away from the nightclubs. however these are only a short walk away. theres a mint chinese called coursers, and the indian next door is good too. theres even a macdonalds thats open 24 hrs! handy. Famous bar (karaoke bar)and The show bar (RnB) were really good and when your completely drunk and just want to chill go to heaven, chilled out club with hammocks thats right on the beach.

one thing we do advise is stay away fromt he main beach, its not very clean, although further along away from the resort there are some nice quiet beaches.

we paid alot for the holiday but it was well worth the money, we had such a good time and would definately go back and we wouldnt stay anywhere other than the Konstantina!!

we stayed in the konstantina apts, they are in an ideal location about 2 mins walk from the main strip.

The pool and the bar area was lovely and kept really clean, tina and alex who work there are lovely people and made you feel so welcome, they would do anything to help you. the rooms are basic, but everything you need is in there, the 70's style bathroom tiles took a while to get used but all in all the rooms are fine.

the food is gorgeous in the apts, but there are so many nice places to eat in kavos we went out most nights and ate, and didnt have a bad meal once.

i would definatley recommend kavos for any group who are wanting a good tan, loads of booze, and a good laugh !!

My/Our Holiday Review:

I have just returned from the Kolouris Beach Hotel in Kavos with my boyfriend. After reading the bad reviews to say I was worried would be an understatement, however I went with a positive attitude.

After a week there my boyfriend and I can easily say it was the worst holiday we have both experienced, ever.

However I must say that the flight with XL Airways went without a hitch and the plane had air-conditioning and widescreen TV's. When we arrived at Corfu airport we met the Libra Rep who sent us off to the resort in a taxi with another couple who was staying at a different resort. The rep gave us an information pack that was filled only with flyers for clubs in Kavos. No relevant information about the accommodation.

We were shown to our room at the Kolouris Beach and my first thought was that I wanted to cry. The room was tiny. The bathroom was small and smelly. The shower curtain was covered in mould and the bathroom flooded when we showered. The maid cleaned our room once. I had to clean the floor with baby wipes and change the bathroom bin myself as the maid didn't change it. The balcony was covered in wasps. We couldn't sit outside or keep the door open. The sheets were filthy and changed once. The mattresses were dirty and dangerous. I cut my foot open on the big metal pole that protruded from inside the mattress, so I turned it over and the other side was the same. However I did complain and the mattress was changed. This one was only slightly better.

Our first and only day spent at our complex was one I will never forget. My boyfriend and I were sat in the Jacuzzi and I decided to carry on sunbathing. I got out the pool and walked to the sun bed. My boyfriend shouted over that I had a 'leaf' stuck to my leg however it was not a leaf. It was, to my horror, a used cndom. I felt physically sick. The Libra rep was not around to report this.

The walk on the beach at night was a an experience I hope to never do again. It is pitch black. Even with two torches you can not see anything. There were beer bottles and used cndoms on the beach which was why we never sun bathed on the beach. We made ourselves residents at another complex where we felt that we would have a better holiday.

There is still so much to say but the worst of it is here. I would not recommend the Kolouris Beach Hotel. It's awful.

My/Our Holiday Review:

hello

we arrived in kavos on the 25th june and had the best holiday!!!!!! its such a shame that we had to stay in such grotty accommodation. It really was a hell hole!

when we arrived at the hotel (at 3pm) we had to wait for about 3 hours in the blistering heat for our room as it was being cleaned (were they cleaned in this room i have no idea). When we were eventually given the keys we dragged our cases up some stairs to what appeared to look like a cupboard, any way when we went inside the room our first response was to laugh o dear god i have never seen such a mingin state in all my life!

we booked a two bed room apartment one of the rooms was ok the other was a not , it had a fire place in it with loads of insects climbing out we spent the first hour screaming as all these HUGE beaties flew in and out of our our room from the huge ivory bush growing right outsde the window ,we tried to close and lock the windows but they didnt shut!!!!

anyway we decided we would make the best of it, and booked some air con which we later found out it only worked in one of the bedrooms so while three of us slept ina lovely cool room the other 2 nearly died ov heat exhaustion. We managed to last for two day when eventually we couldnt hack it anymore we saw our rep who was lovely and managed to change our room which was slightly better but still pretty filthy im guessing these rooms only get cleaned at the begining and end of the season as there were massive cobwebs everywhere. i suffered quite bad with mozzie bites (apparently im juicy)and one night they weaped and the hotel owner said we wouldnt be able to get clean sheets the towles also looked like something animalish had being enjoying a good nibble .Mary the owner was not very impressed that we wanted to move rooms and was a bit funny with us not that we cared we spent the whole week one big bender.

Bit scary walking along the beach at night it really is PITCH black but i suppose it means its a good excuse to stay out until sunrise which is a pretty amazing sight!!!!!

the resort of kavos itself was fab and we thought suprisingly cheap i think we all took about £500 and we all came back with at least £100. loads n loads n loads of great bars especially rockys, rolling stone and bonkers. Beach bbq was crap so dont wasting ya money save it for ya booze fuelled nights out!!!!!

would defo go back to kavos again just defo not to this accom!!!!

My/Our Holiday Review:

Apartments were total rubbish!! would not recommend! arrived early hours of the morning and were dropped off at a hotel then to be told that a mini bus was arriving to take us to our apartements! driver was bit dodgy! got to the apartements and they was in the middle of no-where, overgrown weeds everywhere!! apartements were small and basic! overall not clean and not wat expected!

walk across the beach- is quite literally on the beach no paths, in the complete darkness at night and over a small bridge! did not think this was appropiate for 3 18yr olds esp late at night drunk!! spke to libra to move hotel as we were stayin for 2weeks, reps very rude and not helpful at all..finally moved 2 days later after havin to pay 270euros each to move to a better hotel! was moved to the san marina..excellent location and lovely hotel.

On a better note.. kavos nightlife is amazing..crash bar, buzz, snobs and 42nd street best bars! futures and venue gd clubs..but get very busy and pure sweaty! atlantis and after excellent bars on the beach, r best to go at end of night..gd music!

pr's do get bit annoying after 2weeks but ur on holiday and its all part the fun, be friendly to them and there fine wiv u!

beach is average but its greece not the caribean so wat do u expect!!

would definatly recommend crazy speed boat..best day! and the jet skis are a laugh! would not recommend the bbq boat trip .. end up on a shtty island and the bbq is a bit of chicken n bread..oh n ur allowed seconds!!

overall had an amazing time in kavos..nightlife is gr8..recommend to young ppl..not for families!

Would not recommend KOULOURIS BEACH..

My/Our Holiday Review:

We booked this as a late deal as it was all that was available. Now I can see why... apart from the hellish journey with the worse airline I've ever been on, XL AIRWAYS, there was hardly any positives from this holiday. I have been on many lads holidays in the past, Salou, Magaluf, Ibiza, and last year Cancun which was outstanding, but this year as it was late notice we opted for Greece.

The flight was horrendous due to the lack of air conditioning, delays and the Captain telling us we would have to go to Belfast to pick up stranded passengers. (fortunately they then made other plans so after 2 hours of waiting in unbearable heat, we took off for Corfu).

The accomodation was the last stop on the courtesy coach and again, our luck, the coach could not fit down the narrow roads so we had get off our luggage and get a separate mini bus to the Kolouris... could only fit 10 at a time so ended up waiting 30 minutes.

Accomodation was ok. Kitchenette with 2 hobs, no oven, microwave or toaster, basic small fridge and couple of cups and saucers but that's it! 3 single beds were ok, nice shower except for dead flys on walls. No air conditioning so we hired a fan which made no difference so had to leave balcony door open to get some air, of course causing us to get bitten...

Kavos by day had nothing to do. The beach was quite crp and smelt and the accomodations' pool was more green than blue, despite the other holidaymaker's going in it! The guy who works behind the bar seemed very arrogant and would only talk to girls even when I had an important matter with my camera.

The beds got changed twice during the week we were there, but not for clean sheets, just turned over (wow!). No new towels other than the 1 small and 1 bath towel provided on first day and also only 1 toilet roll so you have to go and buy all extras. Also tea towels etc all need to be purchased or brought with you...

Kavos nightlife was not much better, people vomiting in the street, all the reps trying to get you in for bargains of vodka red bull when it wasn't even red bull but sum nasty energy drink (We found it better off buying a bottle of smirnoff from the supermarket and drinking that beforehand or during the walk into town (which across the beach is an experience as no lighting and even worse during mad storms...!!!).

All in all there is no way I would go back to this place, it was fine for a week of relaxation by a green pool... but it was summed up on the penultimate night, when on our way back to the hotel we saw a guy excreting in the street. And don't get me started on the flight home...

Have just arrived back from kavos 5 days earlier than planned because someone decided to break into our apartment whilst we were sleeping. I had no money left to see me through the rest of my holiday because of this. We informed the owner asap who was no help at all. she told us not to bother with the police (obviously because here hotel would look bad), Reps were no help either. Apart from that the holiday was ok. I normally go to malia which is excellent, Kavos had nothing on there.

The Koulouris beach is in a good location, its about 15 minutes walk on the beach to the centre, it was fun plus you can get a good sleep when you get back to the apartment. Mary and Thomas are great too.

The apartments were quite basic, but you only need to sleep in them! Cleaned 6 times per week.

The bars i would recommend are The Barn (great for the world cup footie), edelweiss (fittest PR on the island!) Memphis, buzz and crash. Went to sum other but was too drunk to remember!

Tex mex is a good place to eat and theres a Mc D's, which didnt surprise me.

Went on the crazy speed boat(not as scary as you imagine) to a secluded beach. Also went to the foam party- great but you get the stuff in your eyes and it stings like mad!

Would go back to Kavos anyday.

My/Our Holiday Review:

We arrived at the Kolouris after an awful flight with Excel Airways. After driving through Kavos seeing that not even half of everything was open, we were starting to panic. (This was the first day of the season). Mary (the owner) was lovely, we were right on the beach as the brochure said, and then it all went down hill again - the people who had arrived before us all had their matresses on their balconies - due to them being damp!!

There was a cellar underneath our apartment which was flooded, our rep was absolutley useless, and to top it all the other Hotel that Mary own's is a 4 star and is stunning compared to the Kolouris.

If there are any groups of girls going please go everywhere in at least groups of three as the lighting on a night on the beach isn't very good at all, and someone got mugged on the beach walking back to their apartments the night before we came home.

Kavos itself I'm sure isn't bad during peak season however, I imagine it to be far too busy to move and there is a lot of dodgy Vodka about. To be fair I'm sure it is a great spot to have lots of fun if you are careful - you do have to make your own Holiday.

To top our lovely (yeah right) holiday off, when we got to the airport there were no flights going in or out as the runway had just been re-tarmaced in the middle of MAY!!!! And the Fire-Brigade were trying to stop it from melting.

If you go you will certainly have plenty to talk about when you get back.

We stayed in the koulauris beach hotel last year for one week we had an excellent time the apartments are basic , but cleaned everyday but in all honestly you u only used them to get dressed and sleep! the pool is nice and the bar stayed open 24 hrs!!!. the staff were all very friendly mary and thomas made everyone welcome.

to get to the town centre you have to walk about 5 mins down the beach but its not far. there are so many bars to hit once you get to the main strip i just recommend tryin them all, the barn is good too, then head for a club about half one or two an party til the mornin.

i would go back definately.

Went here at the end of september, I had read the reviews on here before i left so knew not to expect much!!When we got off the plane the hour and half bus trip to the appartments was horrible the bus was STINKIN!!! And the drivers well they are just crazy!!

The appartments are very basic and our bathroom must have been one of the smallest and the walls were covered in squashed flies. I found that every time you went to the bar for a drink it was a different price every time?? I liked Corfu but would definately stay in different appartments, i found Mary quite rude and one morning we were 5 minutes late for breakfast and she refused to give us it, breakfast being 2 slices of toast and a glass of orange or tea/coffee. Wasps and cats!!, it was like the PLAGUE.Koulouris was good and close to the main strip but walkin up and down the beach at night was extremenly difficult to see where you where going. To top it all off the weather was not that good, we had thunderstorms for 3 days.

Just come back from a great holiday.

Hotel is perfect for people wanting to relax in the day and go partying at night and coming back and being able to sleep as it is just outside the main centre of Kavos.

Accomodation was basic but cleaned regularly and staff were very friendly.

Would recommend checking out the nightlife, drinks are very cheap but there is alot of pr's around trying to get you into thier clubs which can be annoying at times, but we had loads of great nights.

Also check out the booze cruise, we had a great day and got a great tan!!!

Only down side to my holiday was mosquito bites which i was covered in for a few days, just make sure you have a plug in mosiquito killer in your room.

This hotel was perfect for us, and would recommend going to Cavos and im sure we will be goin again!

My/Our Holiday Review:

SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS HOLIDAY - BY FAR THE WORST ONE EVER!

Stayed for a week and was so glad to get home.

Best thing about this apartment was the pool apart from that everything else was crap!.

Whenever we arrived we where told it was goin to take an hour to get to the resort - an hour and forty five minutes later we arrived to be told that because the Apartments was down some dirt track the bus couldnt drive there. We where then informed that we would go the rest of the way on a mini bus - which only had 10 seats and there was 45 of us!!. Consequently we stood at the side of a road for about another 45 minutes waiting on the mini bus to take us down.

Not the ideal start to the holiday and it didnt get much better!

Kavos itself was like most other busy resorts - nothing special. Some of the bars seemed to shut very early. There also seemed to be a lot of fighting while we were there - with people having to go home early after being beaten up by locals. Also two girls I know were chased by lads and had very lucky escapes to say the least! We were told that there was 30 girls raped in the one month!

Back to the accommodation - our apartment didnt seem to bad on the first night as I think this was the only time it was cleaned properly!. by the end of the week it was filthy - in fact you had to wipe your feet on the way out!

Only get one toilet roll and our sheets and towels werenot changed all week. Quite a few people had their apartment broken into while we where there and no-one seemed to give a toss.

The complex itself is pitch black at night we had trouble even getting the key in the door it was so dark - I wouldnt leave the apartment at all at night by myself.

Not more to say apart from the fact that id never set foot in this hole again. Went with an open mind after reading bad reviews on this site - unfortunately they were all true!!

P.S. bring plenty of money - we spent a fortune - 4.5 euros for a smirnoff ice at the bar! what a rip off. Its cheaper up the town but then again god knows what ur drinkin.

My/Our Holiday Review:

We went as a group of 5 girls aged 18, wanting a girls holiday after our exams and thats what we got and it was great. The apartments are basic but have evrything you need, I would recommend bringing a bath towel as you only get 2 per week. Aside from that our rooms were cleaned every day and the owner Mary and her son Tom were more than happy to help if you needed anything. You get little wiffs every now and again but it really isn't as bad as some people make out. We sat on the beach all day, Mary's bit of beach were you get free sunloangers, without a single smell afecting us! We were very happy with the hotel overall.

Kavos strip is good in both the day time and the night there's plenty of local shops and supermarkets, and the local people are really friendly. It's true the PR's can be a pain trying to get you into their bars and restraunts but it's nothing you can't get used to. Yes like other reviews suggest girls you will be picked up by the male PR's and carried into bars but its only a bit of fun & completely harmless. Most of the bars are good with "Rolling Stone" being our favourite, it has a great atmosphere. Just be careful if you're being offered Vodka Red Bull for 1Euro it may not be Vodka red Bull you're getting!! But generally the bars are ok. We ate out most nights and you can get amazing deals; 7.5 Euros for a 3course meal.

The only down point for us was a week into our trip we went a foam party at the "s*x club". It was fun at the time but myself and a friend got chemical burns on our feet leaving us unable to walk for 3days! Not fun! Atleast we got to see that the Dr over there are good, well aslong as you go to, or call out as we had to do, the ones your rep reccommends. If you've got good insurance then you're ok, I had to get cream for my feet which cost me 8.5Euro but that was it & the Dr came back the follwing day to check up on me. So even if the worst occursyou're ok, especially if you're at Koulouris cos Mary looked after us so well!

My last comment is look out for the "s*xy doughnut" man on the beach, he is classic & if you have the money to do "crazy speed boat" then do it! Our hol was amazing and i would reccommend it to anyone 18-30, it's not a family place!

Just back from best holiday ever. Apartments were great. they were cleaned every day we were there and even had bed linen changed when we were ther also(not normal in self-catering unless u stay for more than a week).

Staff are great and really friendly esp mary the owner and nikos the barman that has the pleasure of doin nites on the 24hr bar.also has 24hr pizza.

Plenty of sun loungers to go around and u can also take them on to the beach aswell which the apartments are right on.views from the beach are class- well worth waiting on sun rise!

swimming pool is good size and jucuzzi is class-have to ask staff to turn it on thou cos they turn it of if no1 in it.

food in the apartments is really reasonably priced and really nice, i recommend the pizza or club sarnies!! as for the nitelife- well its kavos, plenty of bars and clubs to suit every1!

location is great also, jus close enough to the strip(short walk- 2 mins down the beach which is great fun!!) but yet far enough away if you fancy a early or quiet nite!

would def recommend these apartments to anyone

Resort was nice plenty going on for the young people and plenty to do for the older generation.

would go back to corfu just not the koulouris beach. do not leave your passport in the reception when it came to our last day we went along to collect them only to be told we had collected them during the week when we had not. Just got back from the best holiday I have ever had! The room was very basic and small though but the maids came in daily. I would reccomend bringing a couple of towels as they don't get changed and you are only given two but the only time spent in our room was getting ready to go out and sleeping.

We were on bed and breakfast and came down on our first morning quite hungry to be given two bits of toast. However, the staff were all very friendly.

The pool is really nice and clean. The beach isn't anything special but it is a nice walk. It takes about 15mins to get to the strip though but at least it is quite quiet at night. I did not really eat any Greek food as there wasn't really any.

Weather was fantastic. The nightlife is amazing. It doesn't really get going until midnight though. I liked the forum bar, london bar, Buzz, Crash and then finishing up in Limelight which was really good and spills onto the beach.

Our reps were brilliant and were always about. They were a laugh and we had some really good nights out with them.

This is a holiday worth coming on but you will come back more tired then when you went there!

Definately not a family place!

basketball court was not in a fit state to be used full of weeds tennis court had no net, there was no mini market as stated in the brochure. no net on the table tennis either! owner mary told us to draw a line with our eyes for the net!!

rooms were not cleaned properly, had to sleep in the same bed sheets all week, they also only give you one roll of toilet paper for your stay when you have used that you have to buy your own! shower leaked also had to use the same bath towels all week which we discovered they also used to mop up our floor, not very nice at all!

there was no entertainment at all, people behind the bar were quite miserable! the five minute walk to the centre was a laugh it was along the beach and over a dodgy bridge which was about to collapse. not ideal for girls walking alone. lights leading to the accommodation did not work so you had to walk up the steep steps in the dark.

complained to the hotel owners that we were not happy with our room and she made us pay 20 euros because we had it cleaned how it should have been done. As i am a travel agent i will not be recommending this hotel again. The best part about the hotel was the swimming pool but the staff would also get funny if you asked them to turn the jaquzzi! will not be returning here again! also had to wait nearly two hours and corfu airport when we landed just to wait for our suitcases!

My/Our Holiday Review:

we had our bed changed 3 times in a week and had 5 rolls of loo paper!!!

Koulouris beach is set in a very nice location situated about 300 yards away from the main strip, in peak season this hotel would only really suit 18-30's,the accomadation was basic but provided everything you needed, the pool, bar and restaurant were great!! The hotel has its own beach and the water is very clear but it was like bathwater lol, AND SEAWEED IS A SIGN OF CLEAN WATER!!!

the main town was excellent loads of good bars, restaurants etc and nightlife to suit everyone,Loads of daily excursions etc etc.

The walk to town takes about 5 mins along the beach and there is no bridge to cross!!!

The only down point of our holiday was the amount of big mouth idiots round the pool, they were the only ones that found themselves funny, eveyone else found them fat and rude!!

My/Our Holiday Review:

These apartments were so much better than expected. The room was clean and big enough for the 3 of us. We had the best room i think as we had a massive balcony! The maids come every day but they never changed our sheets and we had to buy our own toilet paper.

The nightlife is excellent with loads of bars and atlantis is the best place to end the night. Some places can be expencive so drink loads before you go out.

Pool is really nice and clean although they make you pay 2euros for a sun bed. They lock the pool at night but you can climb the fence and have a night time swim like we did!!

In all an excellent holiday for young people who wanna go out every night!

Kavos was great, if you arrive during the night it looks horrible but when you wake up in the morn its lovely. The appatrs where really basic but enough to sllep in and get ready in. The nightlifes great and food was good 2, This isnt the type of place you want to go with your partner. If you go 18-30 take your own towels as you dont get any. Dont book anything through the reps its a rip off, a guy steve we met paid 45 euros for a ticket for a club but we bought them direct for 20 euros. The place is queit expensive but having a drink before going out will save alot. Foods good staffs friendly and weather was brill. hi to steve, ash, kyle, gary, emma n tiff.x x x x

After reading reviews on this site I was put off my holdiay to Kavos but with it all booked I had no choice and soon realised when I got there it was not a problem!! If you like partying all night and sunbathing all day this is a good place to go. Apartments are basic but clean, however make sure you take your own towels. Reps are good fun and helpful. Will defo go back. Make sure that you go to Atantis its a fab place to go to chill out. Don't book any of the day trips or night trips with the reps you can get your won tickets for 1/2 price.
